I'm running an eboost 2. I don't think it'll matter your PCM or which reluctor you have as the boost controller is a "standalone" type system if I'm not mistaken.

All of these would be options for you. I wouldn't recommend a AMS1000 purely because of cost UNLESS you are seriously drag racing this car

So with all the electronic boost controllers, do you have to have like a nitrogen source to control the boost? I've seen some kits that use nitrogen or carbon dioxide to hold the wastegate closed.

Ummm, I've never heard that before. Most EBC (electronic boost controller) use a boost solenoid that controls the wastegate. You have one port that goes to a pressure source and the other port for "both" ports on the wastegate. Then you have another line from the controller that goes to the vaccum source. That's how that works. Then you adjust the gauge/computer thus making changes to the solenoid.

We use the AMS1000, it is the best out there. However, it aint cheap by any means. Before that we used a Halman MBC with ceramic ball that worked just fine.

You do not NEED CO2 with an EBC, but on some (like the AMS1000) it gives you much more control. We can have a 3psi spring in the watsegate, but still run as much boost as the turbo will make. With the CO2 its controllable to within 1/10 of a psi, which is very important when making big HP on small tires with stock style suspension.

I bring one of these with me when I tune - for all the imports that show up to regulate a 30 psi setup with a shitty ebay boost controller.

Not as fancy as the electronic ones, but possibly the most reliable/accurate boost controller that I've seen.

Since we have to "T" off the brake booster, I would use an available port off my vacuum distribution block. In my old car (Talon) I "T" off from my fuel pressure line...connected to a port on the back of the intake manifold.

HDI from ebay, plain Jane boost controller with 2 stages for cheap, 150 shipped. Guys have run them for 2+ years with no issues.

Same here, didnt see the need for boost by gear so paying half the price for the eboost street fit the bill. Very very impressed with how well it works compared to my turboxs manual controller.

The hallman also has a neat symbol on the top of the **** - worth an additional $20.

Everyone loves their ebay special up until it needs to be swapped due to a raging boost spike or poaching of the low end.

All mbcs are the same. They can all be made for under 5$ in parts from home depot. Id get a ebc. I went with the eboost2 so i could have boost by gear.
