Ive saved up enough to do one of these two mods to my car next. they seem to me to be about the same price range and im not sure about the power advantages. i do have a high mileage ls1 to take into consideration. I know a cam only ls1 can make around 400 whp and if i got the nitrous instead i would run a 125 shot or so. Just looking for pros and cons of each side here. looking to eventually do both but i wont have the money for that in a while, so which one is best now?

Power all the time (especially true of under the curve power and oomph for passing cars), no bottles (repeat costs to fill), less risk to engine IMO, makes the car sound much better than stock, don't have to listen to people whine about you "cheating", etc

with a cam you will need a tune and benefit from a good exhaust .with NOS you will need better springs .

cam for sure don't forget you have to have tune either way you go so make sure you have enough $ for that also

cam. You will have the power all the time and nitrous will cost more down the road depending on how often you use it and its not cheap to fill.

Imo, never due forced induction if your budget is tight. The little costs add up quick. And you need alot of them to run FI safe. Cam vote here.

My car with a lid, and full exhaust ran 11.50 on a 125 shot. 275/60/15s on the rear. Dont need a 150 shot. Car also has 2.73s.

looks like a cam will be a better option. i really do like the sound a cammed ls1 gives. any suggestions on cams? i want 400hp at the wheels but i want the "stop light to stop light" torque. looking at tick polluter but its the only one ive really done much research on.
