To make a long story short I bought a built 4l60e and then my ls1 took a dump. I bought a fresh rebuilt 2002 lq9 and was wondering if they will work together? If they do what else would I need if anything to make it work? Thanks

Don't quote me on this but I don't think that they are going to work. You need to have a 2003-up LQ4/9 to mate up to the 4L60e without any modifications. I believe that I read somewhere that the crankshaft was longer or had something additional on it that prevented just a plug and play swap.

I did this swap a couple years ago but my LQ9 came from a 04 Escalade, it bolted right up with no issues.

Hmm ok. If anyone else has advice on what modifications it needs to work or if it will not let me know

you'll be good all the 01 up 6.0 are the same as your ls1 its the 99-00 6.0 that have the longer crankshafts

well it would help since the flex plates are pron to cracking even more so with a high stall converter but you can you's the stock one no problem

Converter is small. Only a 3600 but I figured while its out ill probably pick one up. Any know if I need anything else? Also which flexplate would i need for a 4l60 with a lq9?
