Default Street tires question

Full Exhaust w/cutout, fast 92/92, z06 heads, futral f13 cam, and 4000 stall. I just bought the car last week. 315/35/17 Kumho XS street tires on the rear. First pass was horrible, I tried launching at about 2800-3000 rpm and all I did was spin. (3.2 60 ft) Dropped the pressure to about 25 and cut a 2.2. Last pass, I dropped them to 20 psi, did a good burnout, launched at 2000 rpm, and cut a 1.9. Ran a 8.0 at 92 mph. I didnt make any more passes because it was getting late and I had to be up early for work the next day.

The previous owner says that the car has run a best of 11.3 at 119 in the 1/4 on MT drag radials. I was planning on going back to the track on Sunday to see if I could cut some better 60 ft times, should I even waste my time or wait till I get some drag radials?

No harm in testing with street tires..what kind are they? Are the tires still braking loose over 3000 rpm? if they are I would wait and get DRs

those are some decent tires so may not be worth burning up, especially if you plan on doing a lot of track runs. Get some DR's and relocation brackets and watch that 60' drop.
