I think it would look a bit better on the back, I love the emblems but theirs almost too much going on with the LOTB badge and lsx badge but its your car

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Do you think it would look better if I took off the LOTB emblem?
I originally thought I would remove the LOTB emblem and put the LSX emblem in the same spot. Then I changed my mind. I'm thinking it might look better w/o the LOTB. I guess there is only one-way to find out.

Leave LOTB. Put lsx on back. Done. :)

I just noticed the bird door triangle things... IMHO you should remove those first, if you want a sail panel decal that'd be cool but those triangle things are kinda cheesy.

Too cluttered. Take them all off if you ask me. Just leave the hawk sticker.

The lotb looks killer, but with the lsx badge, the firehawk, it looks like ricer race stickers but better, i woukd move the lsx to the back as well, thats my opinion if you like it there dont change it because of us, car looks great though

This.

But 3 badges in one general area of the car is very overwhelming. Pick 1. Not 2. Definitely not 3.

BTW to clarify, IMO the Firehawk decals might as well count as emblems. I would leave those and relocate the rest.

If nothing else they would look nice on a tool box or beer fridge

Would look good on the wheel well hump in the engine bay.

Still the LSx ones should be put in the back part of the ground effects. Then it will balance out the Firehawk logo in the front, IMO.

I'm going to use some offensive language here, but it looks RICERISH. Too many badges.

Honestly, these cars look bad ass in stock form. Adding more badges or stickers RARE improves the image. The best thing you could do is switch out the badges, like get a different style badge but of the same thing.

You have a VERY nice and VERY rare car, keep it looking nice and clean! Change those badges!

I'm quessing your probably right and I even thought about putting them on the rear of the rocker molding but, I didn't. And I'm sure its going to be a pita to remove and retape them. I would like to try it though. Thanks for your input bro! Love your car and wish I could buy some wheels like yours.

I vote to put the LOTB badges somewhere on the car. It's a badge that only technically fit the 2002 Firebirds. I would also invest in some better floor mats. Rubber floormats look like they belong in a truck, not a Firehawk. Otherwise the car looks great.

HAWKVERT
05-03-2012, 10:43 AM
Thats funny! I knew someone would catch that. I bought those on ebay a couple of months ago. The rubber mats have the word Firehawk on them in red and the tread pattern matches my tires. I though that was kinda of cool. I just wanted them to use while driving and getting in and out of the car. To be completely honest , like a bone head I went off and forgot my carpeted Firehawk floormats at home and didn't even realize it until I was cleaning the car up a bit before the show. So anyway, I do agree with you on that one. Thanks!

curious, where did you get the door open holders, the rod that keeps the door partially open? and why didn't I know about that show in OK? oh well, doesn't matter, my car's not done yet anyways :bang: are you coming to TX in june for the southern pontiac nats? Car looks great, btw.

Original post...........Geez.......O-VER-DONE................too much on there man. Doesn't look good at all. IMO.

Removing LOTB..........little better. I think the "LSX" just doesn't belong on the car. Its too big and flashy. Plus, you don;t have an LSX in the car. I look at that emblem and I think of an LSX iron block.

Personally i like the lsx badges in general, but not where you have them. I have a camaro but I think they look best on the back. I have it on the driver side and the onyx with a red bowtie and z on the passenger side. I was worried bout it looking like too much but I think my car pulls it off.. My opinion tho.

I don't think the OP's intent was to try and advertise he has an lsx block. IMHO, I think his intent was not "hey look at me, I have an lsx block" but rather "I have a built/semi-built ls motor, why still call it ls(insert variable here)"
Not to stray too far from the OP's post...
Kinda like my story. I don't have an lsx block....yet... but I love the whole lsx thing. It is just a placeholder for the engine series' family. Take my stripes for example; they got a lot of positive feedback, and it was a "new", never before seen stripe that I had custom made.

I bought them from a guy here in Kansas City that sells hotrod parts out of his basement. I had to modify them to fit my car. I'll see if I can dig up some contact info for you. I would think that any hotrod shop in your area would have them or could get them for you.

Probably won't make Dallas this year. I do plan on attending the POCI's 40th Annual Convention ~ St. Charles, Illinois July 17-21, 2012.

They cost anywhere betwwen $25-50+ depending on where you buy them.
But if you look at some of those links from Google, they can give you some ideas on how to make your own.
I simply used 3/16" brass rods to make my door, hood, trunk & t-top props. I just bent the ends to fit/hook around the mating latches/etc.

Big D, I have that show in IL on my calendar, but probably won't be able to make as it's the same weekend as the Kearney Cruise Nite here.

I heard the NE Pontiac show is at the Burke school lot again this year.
Most likely won't do that again either.
We need to find something new, in a different location, in some other state to attend.
The GTOAA event is in CO this year & they'll accept the other Pontiac's too. Problam is, it's two weekends before the POCI show.
