I need to pull the console out of my 97 RS, but I can’t figure out how to get the leather wrapped automatic shift knob off. I’ve done several thread searches and keep coming up with nothing. Will somebody please help me get my head out of my a*s. It’s always the simple things that make the biggest head aces.:confused:

Pull the shifter down into low gear and take a small flat head screw driver and pry the retaining clip out on the front side of the knob. Then it should pull right off.

Thanks I looked for the clip before but didn't pull the shifter down and look. It's amazing what you find when you look!
