Just bored, trying to get input here.

Best so far was 11.13 @ 123, 1.60 60ft. This was on 275/50/15's and 3.27 rear gears. I'm now on 3.73's, but those same kind of tires won't hook on the launch any more. I'm thinking of going to a 275/60/15. Do you think it has a high 10 in it?

My big concern is if going from a 26" to a 28" will counter the gears too much? I've heard those two inches are like .4 of gear in the rear, and that would put it back to being simiar to how it was before the gear change. I'm not sure it will be enough for a .13 drop in E/T...

If you don't think so, would finding a stickier 275/50/15 do it?

High 10's wont be a problem with your 123 trap speed, you just need to improve your 60ft a little bit and that will be your 10sec pass. FWIW I ran a 10 sec pass at 120mph at 3,550 race-weight.

the taller tire is a increase in rotating weight ,draining hp.but the taller tire will grow more and act like another gear.

I think I'm going to put the 3.27's back in and find a little more power, and stick to the tires I have. I tried again friday night and couldn't do better then a high 1.6 60ft. When the 3.27's were in, it averaged 1.60's and had a few dips in the high 1.5's.

Maybe I'll put the 3.73's in the Mustang...

I am cutting low to mid 1.6 - 1.65 60 ft with a 275/60R15 runnin 6.8 -7.1 in the 1/8th

Ls3 in a C3 with 3.36 gear - tall tire hurts a little with no gear but you get better traction!
