Default Fuel Pump Modifications

What is the shortest fuel pump for the LSx engines? I am trying to install an in-tank bucket type pump into a tank that is 7" tall. I have the pump from a 2000 Trans-Am available. Does anyone know what pump would fit or if these pumps can be shortened from the factory size? I have seen a write up where a pump was made taller.

Thanks for any help.

I have modified the 99-02 Camaro sender for custom applications.
I think I got it down to 6.5" tall.

Let me know if you are interested in me building you one.

Give me a call to disucss when you get a chance. I previously did one for a 69 Camaro using a f-body sender.
