How many miles on it? Could be an ignition issue with the coil packs. Or a timing issue. I had a 95 camaro that i had an idle problem with the idle would actually drop so low that the car cut itself off. Turned out my distributor was shot and i had 3a warped valves. Process of elimination is your best bet

Did this start all the sudden?

You should have a check engine light if it is that bad. But sounds like a bad plug or wire, if not that huge vacuum leak? Start with a plug/wire change, it is only about $70 + install.

Check vacuum line off the brake booster, I had that problem once and the line to the booster had came out

Start off simple. Get some throttle body cleaning spray and clean your throttle body and Idle Air Control valve (located on top of the throttle body). Get some MAF cleaner and clean your MAF off really good. If your car won't idle correctly, your IAC valve could either be really dirty or on its way out. From there, if the problem still occurs, I'd look at a vacuum leak as the possible culprit. Is the Service Engine Soon light on? If so, have you had it scanned to see what codes are being thrown?
