Default all bolts for short block

just got my project started. its a completly bare ls6 block and now i am in need of getting the bolts to build this up. good place to get all the bolts i need. does arp make a full kit?

arp makes a full accessory bolt kit that will cover alot of the external bolts you will need as far as intake, covers, and accesories go. they also make main studs, and head bolt kits so it should be easy to source that way, and you'll have the best it'll just be expensive... otherwise your stuck finding part numbers for the factory bolts..

i am wanting to build a pretty big hp motor with boost so i rather just get the best bolts possible so nothing will ever go wrong. thanks

ARPs in the important areas such as head, main, and rod bolts are a great way to hold things together, but IMHO, they are a complete waste of money, since they will be nothing for you except looking nice.

Check the classifieds here, Im sure youll find plenty of stock bolts cheap.

I like the 12pt head studs, they look like 20hp added standing still

pretty sure the ARP head bolts are only about x2 the price of the OEM GM TTY

the OEM rod bolts are about 45 for 16, the mains about 60 for the x30

I just can't comment on the main/rods unless I owned a 9sec car or built motors for a living..............don't have the personal experience to back it up
