Just got my car back...18" C6 Z06 wheels, 6 piston Brembos off the CTS-V. Rears are stock calipers + Baer rotors/hawk pads for comparison. Currently on Strano springs + Bilstein shocks as well. Close to 1.5" lowered...

Gotta say, these brakes are kick ass.

That looks awesome. Are you planning on taking them off to get them powdercoated/painted or are you just going to leave them as is? Any plans for the rear brakes?

Thanks. I'm leaving them as is for now, never even considered painting them.

I may go larger out back, not sure yet. I can honestly say, its night and day as it sits compared to stock- not sure I'll ever need bigger rears!

What did you pay for the kit? Sounds BADASS! That is such an awesome mod! Looks great man!

How do you like your shock/spring setup? What did you pay for that? How's the driveability?

Thanks man. I got the front rotors, pads, calipers, wheel spacers together in a package fairly cheap. I'd expect to pay close to $2,000 retail. Then I got the stainless steel lines from a vendor (can't recall his name) but he makes then specifically for 4th gens with CTS-V conversions. Then for the rears, I just got Baer rotors + hawk pads off Hawksthirdgen.

Honestly the brakes feel 10x as good as the stockers...the suspension is awesome from what I've felt. Before the springs/shocks, I had stock ride height but UMI LCAs, Panhard, Torque arm etc. Now its very tight- no roll, little pitch under hard acceleration etc.

Entirely new car, plus looks way better too!

6-Piston? Meh. Time to upgrade to the 8-piston set up!

As for me, I'm still on the factory 2-pistons set up. :(

Yup. Front wheels needed spacers, got them from OE Wheels, same place wheels came from. I believe the spindles need to be drilled slightly to accept the new calipers.

I basically did the exact same setup as they did in GMHightech with the STi Killer. That car has since been changed, but they had a good write up for using these exact brakes and wheels on an LS1 Camaro.

Meh, those rotors have way too many holes drilled too close to each other. Looks like swiss cheese. I'd be concerned about the rotor integrity at that point having to deal with all that clamping force.
