I bought this 96 POS camaro for the wheels and then to sell whats left/part out/scrap :
http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2932682789.html
I also negotiated in tires to replace the ones smoked to the cords on the rear , by the time I got to see the tires ( long story lol) it was dark and it was bonus they were brand new still stickers on the tread , daylight revealed they were not only new but nitto 555 zr's. They were intended to go on his dads lightning pickup which had been sold....
problems are they are 295/45/zr 18 and the car I tried to put them on is lowered on Strano's.
I have since poked around on here and may take a crack at making room for them with a bfh but it looked like they were a long way from fitting.
what sizes should I be considering from anyone with a similar setup or any other thoughts ??
thanks !

I wouldn't say it clears EASILY, but it clears without MUCH effort, as long as you have an adjustable panhard bar. I use a 315/35/18 Toyo Proxes TQ on my 18x10.5" wheel, and I only required hammering the inner fender well (a good bit, however) and rolling the outer fenders. After it was centered using the panhard bar, of course.

I've got 18x9.5 rims all the way around and I'm lowered with Strano/Koni set-up. I'm running 275/35/18 tires with NO problems...but I do also have an adj. PHB to re-center the rear....

ahh this ^
exact set up thats under the one I would like to put these wheels on strano/koni/adj panhard (Hotchkis)
so I just went out and looked and you must have exposed more threads on the panhard ? I have never had a vehicle with adj panhard before does it affect alignment ? what are the pitfalls ?
thanks to the other posters also I can see where tweaking the bumpstops may help also.
now I gotta go search the rear spring hose mod and see what thats going to do for me :hail:

I just put on Strano/Bilstein's, boxed LCA's and adj phb. Haven't had time to center the rear with the PHB yet. Doing the front's now. I used a 1" adapter to move them out a little more. No clearance issues with or without the spacer. The heater hose mod lowers the rear a little more vs. using the stock isolators. My tires are 275/40/18. They're 26.7" tall so yours are still a little taller.

the black ta looks good with the 275's now it seems I could pick up some 275/40/18 with confidence but at some point this week I will see if some persuasion will fit what I have. I did look up the hose mod and its primarily to lower but a few people with lowering springs added the hose with the isolator to gain a little needed clearance so I am getting well armed thanks to you guys:guns:

BTW I left the isolators in. Also has 3 10" subs in the back. After I lower the front and put the rest of the stereo in we'll see how it sits.

beat the inner wells like an unwanted intruder last night and they are on , may need a tweak or two more and this is a crappy near dark pic but you get the idea
