Default what size exhaust tips for 99 z28

I wanted to upgrade my exhaust and wanted to save a little mod cash by ordering online an 80 series flowmaster, I needed some advice on what size tip inlet, or possibly what size tailpipes I need to come out of muffler outlets (2.5) and into tips, going with 8"wide X 10" long X 2" high 0° angle rectangular stainless steel tips, would the 2.25 ID work for tips?

I've got a flowmaster catback on my 99Z and it's LOUD. Got a 50 series on it and it is definitely a head turner. Only thing is when turning ~1400rpm @ 70mph it's a little quiet. It's not a bad price when you compare it to other systems on the market. Everybody has their own preferences, go with what you like and the sound/aggressiveness you're looking for man.

i had my run with the flowmaster 80 series....ok when you don't care about interior noise, or performance for that matter. i run a hooker aerochamber on my ls swap now, and it is nice and deep, has no interior drone, and lets people know you're in town when you stand on it.

as far as putting exhaust tips on a car, i prefer the tucked and hidden look, unless you have a rear fascia that is made for tips to run through.
