Default Halo's in - MUCH Nicer then stock

Finally a nice day and time to get them in. The look much better then the stock, and the charcoal grey is an added bonus. No more need for the GTS light covers.

Now to start taking everything apart and cleaning for the Food Lion Auto Fair next weekend. Lots of cleaning and waxing this week. Can't wait to get the new yellow t/b amd maf ends.

bwt: the new DAWN power dissolver blows away any engine degreaser out there.

Looks good, only thing you need to do now is adjust those screws to fix those huge gabs between the light and the front fascia.

I have these installed also and it took some time to get them to look almost perfect with no gap.

Yah, working on that now. I had to adjust them all the way back. When I got them they were all the way out and would not even go in. Busy removing everything out of the engine bay right now for cleaning and since I had the mounting screws out, I figured I would wait before adjusting them to fit nice.
Much easier to remove and put in then I thought it would be. I know one thing for sure, if I have to replace the turn signals again its going to be by removing the headlights first next time. Way to easy to do.

Very nice look! Also compliments on the clean engine compartment!

Who signed it? I can't quite make out the sigs.

And tell us more about the Dawn Power dissolver.

Thanks for the post!

Looks sweet!

Do you have any additional pics...maybe a straight on shot with the hood closed...you know, for those Black SS owners still on the fence about halos (like me!)...

Signatures are from Kyle Petty and Geophrey Bodine. Got them during charity events our work holds every year. They were the Guests.

I will have straight on shots soon, just put on a coat of blackfire protectant and letting it sit for a while. Back is killing me after removing everything I could and cleaned the engine bay again. OMG do I hate putting the plug wires back on the passenger side. But got to clean up the headers, and check the bolts on them while I was there.

Here is a quick front shot, lid up though

BTW: Yes I know my garage is a mess

Got them off ebay from Xtreme Racing Team.
Was $152 for both with high and lows included. I am impressed with them. They look great on a black SS, never was that big of a fan of the all chrome front lights. They say to connect them to the running marker lights, but I am going to hook them up to the fog lights. I dont really want them on all the time, just at night.

Yep, removing the old ones is easy, just remove the 2-10mm bolt on each of the old lights mounting brace. unplug the old lights, push the lights towards the inside, rotate the lights slowly. To put the new ones in make sure to screw in the adjusting screws way in so there is more then enough room. I would say an hour max if you take your time. I have spent more time getting them lined up flush with the front facia then actual install. Several times I walked away to keep from punching them But eventually they line up and look great. I will have an outside pic of them today after I remove the blackfire coat on it now.

Well here are the night time shots.
This should confuse the hell out of some people seeing these coming up on them at night. No longer have the Camaro tell tale lights coming up on them.

Lights on at night

Halos and fogs at night ( I wired the halos to the fog lights )

I really like mine too. The adjusting screws are crappy and the rubber seal is flimsy, but it sure looks nice.
