Default Procharger on a high compression motor..

Hey guys I have a built 12.3-1 403ci LS2 in a built 2002 Z28 Camaro. I know fo a FI motor the compression should be about 8-1 compression but is it possible to run a supercharger with low boost on a high compression motor? Was thinking about installing a charger on my Camaro but didn't want to have to go back into the motor and replace the pistons if I can run low boost.. Thought please..

If you can run E85 you can make due. 8:1 compression isnt ideal for all boosted applications btw.
