Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - Cam vs cam

I just raced my friend in his 02 camaro, and we are pretty much even, and he has a ms3 cam, and I have a trex cam, I have heads he doesn't my mods are listed in my sig, he has very thing but full suspension, and lid an bellow and I'm trying to figure out why it's so close. I made 462 he made 398 rwhp I don't get it. Any hints?

We both have m6 he got his tuned by a different guy. But like we started in second and as I topped second I was slowly coming by him and he got the hit, but I missed thirds, just put a monster stage 3 in there, with 173 miles on it. Figure it was somehow with that

this happened with me and my buddy in his 01 ss a few weekends ago. he makes 400whp with the ms3 i am making 440whp(when it was tuned 4 years ago not sure where its at now) with the trex and 370. we were dead nuts even from 40-140. i blame our results on weight. my car stock is heavier, i had a 250lb passenger he had none, and my iron block is prly another 150lbs also. mabey weight had to do with your results as well?

racing on a clutch with only 173 miles on it. anyone else see the sig? i dont. maybe he has weight reduction he isnt telling you about. a lot of weight reduction

Yeah we only raced once, Ive Been taking it easy on the clutch, he had a passenger she was probably about 130lbs I had none.

My mods SLP Lid, Ported And Polished TB, SLP 85mm MAF, 160 Degree Thermostat, K&N Filter, Pro 5.0 Shifter, Pacesetter LT's, Pacesetter Off Road Y Pipe, MSD Wires, NGK TR55, TT2's, Power Stop Brakes, UMI Torque Arm, UMI LCA's, UMI Panhard Bar, SLP Line-Lock, SLP Fan Control Switch, TRex Cam, SLP Double Roller Timing Chain, Mellings Oil Pump, Comp Pushrods, LS6 Stage 3 Heads, Racetronix Fuel Pump, 42lbs Injectors, LCA Relocation Brackets, UMI Crossmember, UMI Sub Frames.

Plus the clutch, tick master slave, he has everything minus the suspension, lid, bellow, tb, and heads

hmm. idk then. but i now see your sig in your last post. dyno results might be off on one of the cars possibly.

Well now that I think about it mine made 429 on a dyno jet with heavier drums. But still, Im think I need better heads and tune.
