I need to open this up to 85mm has anyone done it? Any tips? Port it with dremel or have it machined?

Is this an NOS plate or our plate you are tring to open up??

Honestly being 78mm I really dont think you can open up either plate because of the oring groove for one and the way the interal orifices are machined on both plates. You cause a great risk of scrapping the plate. I know when we used to offer a 85mm plate they were machined differently than the 78mm versions.

It is the NOS plate. i am really cosidering selling this kit and going a different route now. i bought it and figured it would be fine with my 85mm TB and the BBk intake i have but 7mm is alot more of a difference than i thought and jst looks like a bid idea to run it like that when i mocked it up. thanks for the input. do you guys still make the 85mm plates?

The NOS plate uses a paper gasket so as long as there is room to move the opening back with out getting into the discharge Chanels you should be fine. I can not tell you for sure if it would work or not with out having it in my hand. WE could put it on the mill and open it up for you but it would probably cost more than that plate is worth.

We no longer offer the 85mm plates. There was not a big enough demand for them to justify building them any longer.
