GTO t56 work on a 6.0l Hey guys im in the market for a t56 for my chevelle, ive been trying to find one out of a fbody but no such luck. I was wondering if a GTO t56 will work? Whats the difference between it and the Fbody trans. Thanks for the help.

There are quite a bit of differences between the F body and GTO but since they are packaged in basically identical configurations, they actually interchange with each other. All you need to do is make sure the shift select lever from an F body is installed in the GTO unit and it will work just fine.
