in the words of the Allstate commercials....
"Move to a better state"
:P
seriously though, you can run it on the front air dam. i know people who do it in illinois.
you can faintly make out the plate in the trans am pic but it shows up better in the camaro pic

i'm pretty sure the front plate law is vague enough that it's legal to put it down there. i don't think there's a minimum height requirement for license plates. i don't know though as i've only ever lived in indiana, arizona, and florida. All of which are only 1 plate states.

I have this bracket in the garage I had it on the Formula, email me at john@motorsports-media.com if interested. I think it was from SLP, I can take a pic. you attach it from underneath. I mounted it to the side cuz of the a/a intercooler.

Well for Camaros depending on the grille you can put it behind it. Not as noticeable.. I hate the way it looks with our front license plate. I've been pulled over quite a bit for it. Either say some BS excuse & get away with it or I get a fix it ticket. In that case I put it on went to the the police station paid $25 & took it right off again when I pulled out of the station ahha

As a cop in PA... we dont have front plates... but if we did, it would not piss me off, but it would give me a reason to stop you any time I saw you drive by.
Its visible, but not legible.....
On a side not, I think the air damn mount is the best look so far.....

I have mine in my windshield sitting at very front of the dash, kinda off center on the passenger side. I've not been bothered yet. You can see it really well from far enough away, but it doesn't make the car look bad.

I went through this with my Camaro, sort of. PA car, no front plate bracket, but the stock grille had some holes in it already so I just mounted the plate directly to it. I wish I didn't have it on there at all but it looks better than the stupid ugly bracket at least. If/when I get a better looking grille I have no idea what I'll do then.
I don't know what the best option is for birds aside from mounting the plate in the factory spot.

OP did you have it visible anywhere? i.e. the dash or anywhere else? I run mine under the windshield up by the vin tag.

In MD the license plate has to be the the "front most part of the vehicle", I put mine on the air dam and got a $80 dollar ticket. After 160 bucks i ziptied it to the grille.
Cars like F body's, Vette's and what not shouldn't be required to have it right on the damn nose. 'OP check with your local laws, but here in CA you can put it in the corner of the passenger side of the windshield. It's in front and in plain sight. Do whatever you can to keep that plate off of the nose...

I haven't run a front plate since 05 on my Formy / TA / Z06 and I haven't heard a word about it.
I guess I have spend the majority of my time in Indiana since fall 06 though (not required there) - whatever I would just put it on temporarily and show the cops then take it right back off. No way i'm messing up the nose of my nice cars.
I do run one on the volt though, haha

yea i just dont want to have a ugly ass plate on the front of my car and have to drill 2 holes in the nose... they were not meant to have them so i dont see why its a law to have them

I keep mine behind the rear passenger seat, when I see a cop coming or nearby I'll just throw it up in the windshield on the passenger side.

After my first verbal, I put it on the backside of my passenger sun visor. I just flip it over when i get to my city and can flip it out of the way when I don't want to see it. I haven't gotten pulled over again since doing that even though I am betting it isn’t legal.

I have the same thing Pro Stock John has. I just leave the plate under the car and if i get pulled over ill just tell them i forgot to flip it back up when i was washing it or something. That for me is the best way to go about it.

You could attatch it to the front like your supposed to then get one of those clear pheonix plate covers and put it over it.
