so its 8:00 pm.. me and my friend went for a cruise around the city.. he has an 02 nissan maxima.. mods: full exhaust, headers, short ram air intake.. and some valve deletion mod.. forgot the name haha.. me: mods are the sig. i have stock 98 maro injectors and stock tune..
we start from a 70 roll, in 3rd gear.. he honks 2 times and on the third we take off.. i just punched it as it felt forced enough to take off, so not hittin the clutch.. to my surprise he pulled on me not even a fender.. we're reaching 90, redline coming up i hear him shift, im at 5k gonna shift at 5.5k i go into 4th gear, no powershifting.. and aftr what felt like the longest second ever i start pulling on him but then we stop. did this twice and same results... second run he said he missed a geat when i started to pull on him..
nice race but im not even close to happy with these results..

how could this happen? any suggestions would be happily read..
he just got his tranny rebulilt and his motor has about 85k mine should have around 80k on the lq4.. or so according to the last owner..
is that even a reason..

Are you tuned? This sounds wrong, especially with all the mods in your sig.

Dumbass people modding cars are by far my favorite type.

OP probably already has some internal damage on motor running a stock tune with all those mods.

nice.. thanks for the advice.. i will get it tuned in a lil bit, i live in ca so u guys know of all that beautiful smog shiznit haha.. so first is getting all that done.. 250 for a in person tune.. should that be enough for what i have, its basically a street tune.. or should i save up and do a dyno? which is 450..

haha good one.. from a roll or a dig? lol..

naa but seriously like u guys said i havent damaged anything internally.. hopefully!.. from now on ill try to keep my right foot light..

on the tune part.. does it really "wake up" the engine?

thanks for all the advice..

Dynos are just a tuning tool, it will be a little more in depth than a a street tune and you get to see where your car makes power

No, keeping your car turned off until you tune it would be a better idea.

I'd save for a dyno tune. You have ALOT of mods and you are cammed. Don't drive that car at all... before you grenade the damn engine if you haven't started that process already.

Wow, I've never known that a stock tune cammed camaro can be that slow. I used to race these maxima's in my old RS and eat them too ! cant imagine what a z28 would do to them, something is terribly off.

WTF? Cammed, etc. and beating on it with a stock tune?

the only thing keeping me informed of my A/F ratio is my wideband gauge.. other than that nothing else except whatever else is already there..
so im going for the dyno tune.. what about the canned tunes? for the mean while?

and seriously i didnt even imagine it could be this slow.. sadly!

$250 for a dyno tune is cheap!! I paid $500.00 for my dyno tune but he had the car for 2 weeks..

And dear god, ANY tune will be so much better. If you wanna drive it, get a mail order tune. If you can stand not driving it wait for a dyno tune.

cant help it think OP is a troll? It happens lol

He was saying 250 for a street tune 450 for dyno. Why did he have your car for so long? I paid 500$ for my tune too well actually I traded some parts worth give or take 500$
