Does any one know the trick to taking a CTS-V shifter apart? I need to add some micro switches and I'd like to mount them inside the shifter case. I have the screws out but something is keeping it from coming apart. I know there is a trick, just can't figure it out. Any Help?

Shifter or console? The shift knob is a bitch to get off, but lifts straight up. The console is tricky because there are 2 plastic pins right at the front across a metal cross member right underneath the ashtray, I don't think there's anyway to get them off w/o breaking them. Mine broke, didn't make a difference after though.

I'm assuming this is on the V2?
