Cadillac CTS-V - drag wheels w/out tire press. sensors

so i did a search and didntt find a full answer. running stock wheels all around just bought 2 extra wheels with sticky tires w/ out tire pressure sensors.
problem is i cant disable all stability control with the tire pressure reading zero. sensors havery never really been accurate any way. so how can get get back the option of no traction devices with only the front sensors in?

You can either buy 2 more sensor and reprogram every time you swap wheels...
Or put two in each of your front tires to keep all four active and under pressure.
I've read that you may be able to remove all 4 and have it work but never a good confirmation on this.

This is the simplest way to do this... unless there are simulators.

I don't even see how this is possible as they are attached to the valve stem.

Negative.

The way to defeat them is to screw all the sensors into a vessel and pressurize it and throw it in the trunk.

I've seen people put tire sensors on non compatible wheels by using a giant host clamp around the center of the wheel to hold the sensor to the middle. So you could have one inside and one on the lip at the normal valve stem location. (Or 2 or 4 inside if you wanted.)
Short of it is they all have to be present and see pressure.

This would be the route I would take. Fab up a little box, seam seal the corners, stick an air valve in it along with two sensors.... voila. Not a bad idea...

Has anyone ever tried to set all four wheels to one sensor or is it actually to smart for that?

Won't use the same radio ID multiple times.
Mine won't ever see a sticky tire - but I could see how annoying it would be.

Reprogram: http://cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/tprepro.html
Disable: http://cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/tpm/index.html
Disabling requires removal of all of the wheel sensors and should allow you to enter any traction/stability mode you wish.
The way to defeat them is to screw all the sensors into a vessel and pressurize it and throw it in the trunk.
This should actually work.

My question for you is...if you are drag racing the car, I can see that you do not want traction control enabled, but stability control should not effect anything you are doing in a straight line. Even without working tire pressure sensors, you can still kill the traction control and prevent it from pulling throttle or applying brakes.
The stability control system using steering position and yaw sensors to determine if the car is traveling in a controlled direction, but should not activate if you are simply driving straight even if you lose traction. But, if you were to lose control on the track and start going sideways, the stability control may actually help you out, and your run is probably f-ed at that point anyway.
Just use PVC pipe and stick them in it and pressurize it... no need to fab up a box etc.

Drill holes and mount the TPMS and then pump it up.

All my sensors were not functioning and I could still turn off anything I wanted.

Gotta say it...how fucked up is it that you have to stoop to having a garden sprayer onboard to "trick" your car into racing...that's just funny, lol.
Love it...just love it.

You could also use plastic bottles as long as they seal real good.
I was thinking of something with a screw lid.

i do more then just drag race. such as some fun freestyle type burnouts at car shows which would involve junk tires and the wheels with but sensors. can't do anything with stability control on.
im goin to try and remove all 4 sensors and just get rid of it all. anyone tried this from the cadillacfaq link that was posted?

I have no TPMS. Dash shows ---, and I can enter all 3 "modes".

That is a temporary fix which could work while at the track. Mine would re-register the good sensors after about 50-75 miles of driving and no longer could I turn the modes off. I would have to resync them to get the three lines
Since you are only running without two (I believe you said) eventually the computer will read the front two and disable the controls again.

^^^ Same here. I don't have any sensors and I can still turn off traction control, go in to competition mode and turn both TC and stability off completely.
That was meant to be posted below CancerJCC

The key is two sensors versus no sensors
