Looks pretty cool but I'm not really into the whole futuristic style game play TBH. I may rent it and try it out but as far as going out and buying it, doubt it.

i'll pick it up. i like MW3 but black ops was a lot more fun as far as campaign and the level designs on multi.

I sold black ops and got mw3 and hated the hell out of it, mostly the gameplay is not for me but a little bit because i liked the old school simple weaponry of the vietnam era. i am having mixed emotions about blackops 2. btw, i repurchased black ops and dumped mw3 several weeks ago, still had all my info saved so i was relieved.

I used to play mw2 24/7 didn't get black ops and had mw3 for a week when if first came out, my roommate beat it, i only played it online 2 or 3 matches, then sold it. I'm kinda over the cod stuff.. cod 2 and mw2 were the best imo.

Same here. I bought mw3 the day it came out after work, played it for maybe a month then it sat for a few months. Rarely ever get on anymore.

I'm never purchasing another MW again. Mw2 sucked so much I didn't go past a level 40 if I remember correctly. Mw3 was just as shitty, and I tried to like that game. I've been playing Black Ops again after selling mw3.

Hopefully Black Ops 2 is good. If this one bombs, I'm done with COD.

Treyarch is absolutely fucking god awful as game developers for multiplayer games with the exception of map designs. Their campaigns and zombies have always been rather entertaining though. I'm just not sure $60 on zombies is justified.

Why was Black Ops Terrible? Campaign was fun, story had a nice twist, Zombies are cool, Bots are great, and the Multi is the same as every other COD except map design is better on BlackOps then MW3.

Horses make sense...all the other transportation and technology was turned against them. As for it being in the future....MEH....boring and overdone. But so is COD. I'll rent it for Zombies.

playing the Beta for GRFW, it's awesome the gun customization. just wish there were more weapons to customize (you can deck out your pistols though too lol).

i'm a die hard BF3 guy, but i LOVE Ghost Recon. the first one on the original Xbox was what got me hooked to FPS.

I forgot which advanced warfighter I had, but they were fun, I just sucked at them lol. Now that I am better with squad based, tactical games (Not like run n gun COD), I enjoy that style of gameplay more, and cannot wait until the 22nd. The in depth customization (fucking gas system modding!!!) is insane, and it seems like they actually did their research into the weapons going into this game, unlike black ops and their Acog, and other weapons/items that weren't around during the time frame.

Yeah, from what I heard BlackOps had a wild imagination what the soldiers in Vietnam used..MP5s, ACOGs etc...

I'll agree, I do love the story lines. I bought mw3 pretty much only to finish up the MW series, which I did enjoy. I wonder how this new one will be though.

Looks like u will be able to select different areas in the battle, like control a swarm of drones or a CLAW tank then move to different members of ur squad during the main story...sounds pretty cool to control different points of a battle

The respawn points were just stupid, why anyone would make a multiplayer game without dedicated servers is beyond me, lag compensation is a joke (i shouldnt be punished by having a smaller target to shoot at because I have a faster connection), the automatic host selection is a joke, the shotguns have a rediculously inaccurate range, flak jackets stop headshots and lower body shots? wtf mate?. I could go on and on and on, but Ill leave it there. Nothing frustrates me more than going into a firefight with a SCAR against a guy with a silenced P99, get six hit markers and he ends up panic firing and dinking me in the ear and killing me. Hell I threw my controller across the room the other night, I hit some jackass with a ballistic vest dead nuts on with a predator missle and got a hit marker. I dont give a shit what kind of jacket youre wearing, a predator missile would fuck you up even if it didnt explode.

play hardcore...problem solved;) I lost my voice on MW2 playing normal deathmatch thanks to all that BS gun damage skews. Take half a clip using a rifle firing a 7.62x54 round but numnuts with a 9mm takes me in one shot...BS. Hardcore everyone is even, no half a clip shit

It does have some new twist kinda like a choose ur own adventure type game that some choices will actually kill the main character in the story, no idea about the multi yet

i do like treyarch, black ops was probably my favorite game, followed by waw. then the first two mw's. i may give it a try eventually, but im definitely not going to get it on release night like i did the previous games.

I got it and its pretty enjoyable minus the sever problems for the online play. Other than that I have no complaints. I do prefer playing bf3 on pc but thats a whole different thing lol

i got it yesterday after work (picked up my preorder)...its definitely A LOT different than MW3. totally different feel when aiming and running around.

been getting my ass kicked too, but that's bc i have yet to find a perk/attachment system that works for me yet and i due to the fact i have no idea where to go on the maps yet either.

just played the first 2 missions in single player last night as well. the story seems a lil bit dumb so far, but the cool thing is that you can acutally customize your load out in single player which i have yet to see in any game

I have been playing a little bit. I've run into a lot of server issues so far, but that's too be expected. From the very small amount of time I have spent playing this game, the graphics and game play are really good. Multiplayer is way too fast paced right now which isn't my style at all. I imagine that will slow down when the kids start to get tired of the game. And as with most, I haven't found a set up that really works for me. I will say that with the way people are just running around the maps and trying to kill each other point blank, SMG's seem to work the best for right now.

Haven't played zombies yet, but I will definitely check that out when I get off of work.

i'll be playing zombies on friday when the rest of my xbl buddies get the game. as for smgs, i can't hit shit with the MP7, so i've been sneaking around with my assault rifles lol

so far, i've found that running no tac grenades and using my wild cards for extra perks has been working out pretty damn good

Don't get me wrong, I am not an SMG guy either. I just think they work best with the way everyone is playing the game right now. Usually I just use the ghost perk, and a suppressor, but I don't have those yet, and everyone is just throwing up UAV every two seconds so everyone is kamikazeing the entire time. From my experience, most of the combat is very close range, which is why I am using the SMG. I really hope the game starts slowing down a bit because I hate playing like this. There is no strategy... its just who can pull the trigger faster.

yeah I was in a free for all on nuketown yesterday, was quite entertaining, but you were killed about every 3 seconds lol

yeah the thing that sucks is that ghost is unlocked when you reach 55....but there is a "stock" class if you will, that has ghost in it. i hope there's like prestige tokens so you can unlock things early like in MW3

That really really sucks. Not having ghost and having constant UAV totally ruins my strategy. I like running around the outskirts and sneaking up on people as opposed to running through the middle of the map acting like Rambo.

Once I learn the maps I am sure it will be more fun.

MW2 was more of the same, and I never could make it through the story line on Black Ops I. It was just too boring, repetitive, and monotonous. I wound up playing zombies online with my buddies more than anything else.


I enjoy playing the story lines more so than playing online with a bunch of cheating ass fucks. Unfortunately, as the online play gets more popular the software companies are spending less time making a good story. Oh well...

didnt buy it. my brother did and i played a few games. not woth $60 imo. i lasted about a month on mw3 before selling it. i think these games have lost their appeal. just arent as excited for them as i used to be.

I liked it I to feel like you have to use a smg I've been using the mp7 alot red dot and silencer. I will say Im getting tired of the aircrafter.

I am still waiting for Hardcore Kill confirmed. Their reasons for making it core only are beyond me. Hardcore TDM is fucking annoying.

The campaign was pretty good, with lots of endings depending how you play. Multiplayer wise it goes: MW1>BO>BO2>MW3>MW2 (only played the beta of World at War).

BO2 will be my last COD of this generation of consoles. I'm not sure if I'll sell BO2 within a month like I did MW2 and MW3.

I hate it right now b/c there is a transition period coming from mw3 to black ops...much like there was going from Mw2 to BO1. gameplay takes some getting used to...seems to be very high paced. there is also alot of nonsense right now with how easy it is to quickscope, knifing etc. i hope they patch some of it. eventually with more time playing ill get used to it like i did all the others and ill be back to my solid gaming ways.

had an amazing game last night. Core domination, went 37 and 4 while capturing everything i could. the game got so much better (lag wise) when i changed my connection settings before selecting which game type. I am really starting to love this game!!

Both have pros and cons, but personally I feel Halo4 MP requires a little more skill. As always COD MP is real fast run and gun shooting. Most people just spray and pray or drop shoot where in Halo you have to aim correctly to kill the guy before he kills you.

Just go to Public Match under Party Games should be Nuketown 2025 since it has its own playlist.

If not then it didn't download, as long as you entered the code correctly you should be able to find it in your download history somewhere under settings and just redownload it.

Well pretty much everything uses Steam now, it's basically Xbox Live for PC. When I installed BO2 the other day, it installed right through Steam, not even having its own installer. So, it's working as the dashboard to bring PC gamers together.

I can't really comment on how it compares because I haven't played it on a console, but it doesn't feel like a port to me. I'm disappointed when everyone I talk to is like "You got it on Xbox or PS3?"... Damn it PC!! Nobody else I know buys them for PC, so I never have any RL friends to match against.

Does this game have dedicated servers on the PC version, or is it setup like a console where it just drops you into random games that are all hosted by Activision?

PC BlackOps2 has Dedicated Servers, Treyarch always does...IW doesn't for their games.

Sure, they have dedicated servers... great. COD Blops 2 doesn't support any Admin or kicking ability. It will be just like MW3, hackers everywhere and nothing you can do about it besides "report" them. Dedicated servers without Admin/kicking ability might as well be hosted by hackers themselves.

< Not buying Blops 2 because of this. Love Blops 1. Get on TDR server, no hacking but extremely good players.

So far im pretty happy with it, enjoying zombies, made it to level 20 just playing around different game modes. I still really enjoy playing gun game and one in the chamber, so glad to see thats still alive. I was getting a little annoyed at all the people just running wild and spraying, but i eventually got my quickness back to the point where i can drop them regardless. Still trying to find what exactly works for my as far as building my own class.

Ya it's pretty deadly, had to use my prestige token for it lol. Next prestige I'll unlock the AN-94, reminds me alot of the AK that I miss so dearly. Assault Rifles is all me lol.

incase you guys havent tried yet....B23R pistol is absolutely beast in this game. i know for a fact it'll get nerf'd bc its that bad ass.

im currently workin with the 556 with a grip and target finder scope. ive tried the Scar but the 556 and the m27 are my weapons of choice currently. im sure ill change it up soon enough as i like using every gun in the game before im done with it.

On a side note, I switched one of my classes with the KSG shotgun with single slug fire, HOLY SHIT is all I have to say about that gun, one hit kill with it and especially when you hook up the red dot with long barrel bullets for extra penetration.

I only play bot mode or zombies.....2vs6 is fun and the bots are alot smarter and better then on BO1. These bots will hunt u down in packs if u try and camp

yeah i have a class set up with that aswell....remington 870..pretty insane. i suspect it'll get nerf'd aswell b/c people will complain.

I just wish there was a zombie mode where u can pick your load out like bots, make it alot funner having a nice weapons to start off with instead of a 1911/m14/double barrell....they suck

This game is such a piece of shit. I couldn't use my custom classes for a while, then it would throw me into Ground War no matter what i selected, and now I can only join four out of the 12 core game menus. It appears I'm not the only one receiving the, "Error modifying session" message either. I just listed it on eBay, bye bye COD.

My internet sucks so i have to play off line, Zombies on the bus is pretty tight, BUT dont get off and get left.. especially with little ammo. I did find the underground spot but didnt have the power on (could not find it) and got trapped.:engarde:

Rented it tonight, only played campaign for about a half hour.I like that you can customize the loadout prior to the mission. The select-fire addition is nice as well

Hard point is a joke, why have the hard point move in the exact same order every time? It should be random just like headquarters. It also needs to have a delay before the new one shows up.

The game has potential but it needs a lot of work.

I have to agree with Biggie. I think IW does a better job with the COD games while they're the newest out, but one Treyarch puts one out then they forget about their current one and focus on the next one, which allows a lot of hacking. MW3 isn't bad as of now but mw2 went downhill quick.

you guys actually liked mw3? ick. maps were HORRIBLE. not sure whats wrong with black ops 2. im not really experiencing any problems anymore. once i switched to best connection setting its a lot better. the guns are pretty cool i dont see much overpowered yet though shot guns can get annoying and the knife is sooo hard to do now lol

I prefer the IW games because the maps aren't so chaotic as Treyarchs and it doesn't feel so cartoony (if that's a word). But here's a funny relevant video for mw3.

I'm down for the ls1tech clan as well. And the Remington shotgun is rediculous. Way to much range. I like the game overall. I only play small map moshpit and headquarters because all the kids suck and it's fun as hell.

i really like BO2 so far. the class customization is awesome. my favorite class i have no primary so i can stack on extra perks and run around with the 3 round burst pistol. works out good on hardcore CTF.

Campaign was ridiculously short, but most of the futuristic weapons were nice. the strike team maps were annoying since the AI controlled soldiers couldnt kill shit. havent been able to play online since my internet is screwy which sucks

My girlfriend just got it for me for my birthday. I haven't played it yet. I did play with my friend when it first came out. Too futuristic for me but we'll see. I have yet to play the campaign.

Zombies is MEH in this one compared to previous games, the maps are WAY to small and tranzit sucks unless you have 4 good people total.

I do enjoy grief though but other then that I miss the old big maps were you actually had to make money to get to the box and pack a punch machine etc...the World At War zombie maps were by far the best.

I got the season pass when I got it at the midnight release. Just like the other cod the smg's are overpowered. Try shooting someone 100+yards with one in real life lol. I'm ready for new maps too. Believe it or not I havent even played nuketown yet WTH?

Hope they fix the spawn issues. Seems like a majority of my deaths come within 3 seconds of spawning

I hope they come up with a patch for these spawn points and lag. I hate when you see someone coming and shoot a couple rounds at them but in the kill cam it shows you not doing anything, or you're dead before being able to even look at them through the sight. Or you spawn and die all within 3 seconds. I can honestly say this is the worst COD of them all..

I was just about to post all of this. I have already found people who cannot be killed unless you get a head shot. Literally snuck up on a guy driving their RCXD. and a whole clip into their body. Had to headshot them to kill them. And even then they were 20-1.

The lag and having people going from behind cover to 10' out and shooting you with nothing inbetween is NUTS.

And the maps on BO2 are HORRIBLE. huge strong points that overlook spawn points. I keep getting into matches(HC TDM) where the other team has say the roofs in that club map, or the balconies on Hijacked. And every time you spawn there is a guy standing there shooting at you.

I thought the first BO was mediocre at best but BO2 makes the first one look amazing. I don't understand how a game maker can suck so bad when they've been doing it all of these years and really wish I could return the game but I can't. I'll no longer buy Treyarchs COD games after this shit stain they call a game.

ive never really been one for games but while playing ball overseas this past year i got into mw3 . i really only play black ops to bullshit and smash my little brother and piss him off:burn:

i like the Zombie play...not much into the multiplayer. Got the Jet gen yesterday on solo which was a pain. its badass but only cools down when its out....... sucks since u cant run for shit with it.
