Love the camera angle and clarity.

Hate the sequential turn signals on the Mustang :wrist:

I know, but now I pull him by about that much with my gears.
If he hadn't had the 3.73's it would have been a much better run

So you gained from a roll with bigger gears?? I thought you'll loose MPH with bigger gears and ain't MPH what matters on the streets??? Can someone explain me that??

I don't know what you mean by bigger gears. If he was on 2.73s or something, then the car will wake up with some 3.73s, keeps you in your powerband. He look like he was starting some race at 3k rpms.

I'm with you man the GTO was in the wrong gear for sure. Especially if its an M6 car. If its an auto well there isn't alot you can do from a roll except change the roll speed. Either way good runs.

Gears will make a big difference because you get into your powerband quicker and stay there longer. The only time it bugs me is i have to shift more often then the car im racing, since most of the time i race the other car doesnt have gears.

Yea looks like around or below the 3k mark, definitely not the right gear. 5.0's are stout for sure!

Damn, most races I have seen of GTO's with an intake, or intake and shifter have the GTO neck and neck, or even pulling, but now that I notice, I see most of those are 3.31 (or whatever the shorter gear is) Mustang's.

Nice runs. I agree about the camera angle and clarity, clear and easy to see.

Gear selection could be better though.

40 roll was too much for 1st. So I was in second :(

Although, now with my 3.91's a 40 roll is perfect.

I've got 3.90 gears in my 6spd and a 40 roll is PERFECT. But now with my added power all I do is spin from a 40 roll. I have found out that if I drop down to a 30 or 35 roll my car is actually faster because of the reduced wheel spin.

OP get a vid of the rematch now that you have your gears installed and btw make it a 40 roll. ;)

...and if he had been running on 7 cylinders, maybe it would have too

Honorable death and nice color on that GTO...just not a fan of the if if if if if if if if if if if if if if's.

a 40-45 roll in second with the stock 3.46's is awesome.....

Not sure what you guys are talking about.

yea 40 with stock gears is about 3800 rpms and thats actually not bad at all. From the feel of the car, a stock cammed LS2 really starts to come on @4500. So gears won't really do anything from a roll cause the lowest rpm i see after a shift is about 4800.

Now put a ported fast on it. From what I've seen ls2's pick up about 30HP with a fast.

Nice vid clarity......maybe you can submit to the can festival.

:thumb: My next mod

After the slipping clutch...
And the cooked brakes...
And the fact that I can't put power down in 1st, or 2nd, and a little bit of 3rd...

But a FAST is definitely on the list lol.

Nice vid clarity......maybe you can submit to the can festival.

Cannon T3i ftw. What's the can festival?

FAST should be your last mod, really. I would ported the LS2 first with a cam.

Anyway, good runs! That was a strong GT for sure!

I agree that starting a roll from 3500 is far from ideal. You lost ground and momentum every time. He got the perfect race, not you.
