Default Radiator Upgrade

Has anyone had any experience with replacing the OEM radiator with a Griffin or BeCool radiator? Do they make one that fits in the OEM location with no mods?

Go to this page...plug in your car info...you'll find two direct-fit versions...1 for up to 400hp, & another for up to 700hp.

Is it just me or did these drastically go up in price over the last few years? The BeCool 80246 is $1400...

I vote LT1 radiator. My car used to run 190-195 religiously until I added heads/cam then It would run 210-220. One day after some spirited driving my in dash gauge started to peg and check gauges come on. After that I said no more and went to a LT1 and I'm back at my usual 195 or less.

Hmmm, I can't locate my receipt right now, but I thought that I paid somewhere around $600, two years ago.

LT1 radiators are thicker and hold more antifreeze, but still have plastic sides

A few years ago LG made quite possibly the best radiator for our cars. Had to modify the lower airbox/radiator support because it was widder, but that was 20 mins of work. Had an internal oil cooler also. Would love for them to make it again.

When I had a stock radiator, I overheated on a hot day in traffic. The barbed end of the hose nipple sheared off allowing the hose to pop off. Dumped all the coolant in like .3 seconds. Freekin plastic parts.....

I made the jump to a Becool and only wished I had done it sooner. One of the best bolt-on upgrades I ever did.

The boys at ws6.com have waaay better pricing on Becool radiators, they're sponsors here and really nice guys.

I think you can still get it, isn't it made by Howe Racing or something?
