I have seen somewhere that you can fit a rear facing car seat in the middle between the seats on the hump. also I seen people do the seat delete. I am looking for pictures and or experiences about for to fit an rear facing infant seat without the passengers knees being in the dash! thanks

Placing a car seat on the hard hump between the seats sounds like a bad idea

I ha e heard people doing it and just crossing the seat belts and clicking them in. That the base doesn't move at all and you don't have to move the passenger seat up to the dash cash the car seat sits between the front seats

Hmm interesting, i wanna know aswell
I don't see any safe way to secure a rear facing car seat in the back of an F-body. The base on the hump, even with the belts crossed through it, has no way to be stabe.
I would be interested in knowing how somebody did it if they did. I never had to worry about it as I had a GTO and Jeep while my son was that age.

I used to have 2 car seats strapped in mine, the passenger side had the rear facing seat. There was very little room for a passenger up front. Never seen one on the hump in the middle.

Please don't do this.... As an f body owner with a car seat... Just put it on the passenger side.... We don't want to have to give you father of the year award. I would imagine any cop that sees this would arrest you for child endangerment because that's what it is...

A lot of car seats I see do a good job of permanetly indenting the seat, and most need a surface with a little give so they can fit properly. This is why I have a $300 saturn as my DD. Good MPGs, piece of cake to work on, and its safe enough for my 2 year old

I just had a baby boy and went though this...BUY ANOTHER CAR. Your baby's life is not worth it. Buy a beater.

I agree with the others. Either just suck it up and put in the back properly or get another car. Risking your kid's life isn't worth having a little leg room.

I use my son's in the back with the rear seats removed, fits down there perfectly. Plus the bracket that the seat bottom bolts to magically sits in the exact place for the car seat to fit over. It's rock solid, otherwise I wouldn't do it.

Reason #8,267 not to have kids. The seats won't fit in my F-Body.

i took my rear seat out and put a carseat in the bucket area facing forward (shes over a year old) and it actually belts down and fits like its made for the area. i tried it both ways and the car seat actually moves more with the back seat in because of all the padding. If you get a quality seat with plenty of padding then you really dont need the seat there. I know it might sound unsafe but like i said it fits better its more secure it doesnt slide or move and everyone has plenty of room and is completely safe. Like HVYMTL said, if i felt it wasnt safe I wouldnt do it but its very solid and id suggest it to anyone

Forgot to mention i live next to a state trooper who gave me the idea. he said hes seen lots of f body owners do the seat removal and he would feel safer doing it that way. He and i tried it both ways and the seat moves less with the rears removed.

This sounds like a great idea. Would either (or both) of you guys mind posting up some pictures with the Rear Seat Removed and your Child's Car Seat in place.
It's not that I don't think I could figure it out. I'm sure all you do is remove the Lower Rear Seat Cushion and buckle the Car Seat in its place. I would just appreciate a visual aid. As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words." In particular I'd like to see how far back/forward the Passenger Seat is positioned with this setup.
I'd love for our son to be able to join the wife and I on our next Power Tour without my wife having to ride on the dash. :D

That's how we had ours last year. And that's why my car barely got driven. Although this year they will both be front facing which will be nice.
