Default Questions about my exhaust and backpressure

Hello, ive got a 96 z28. i just got some pacesetter ceramic coated long tubes with an offroad y. Right now I have a magnaflow muffler and dual tips. Once I put the headers on id like to add a 12" summit glasspack and a turndown and get rid of the magnaflow. My question is am I gonna need a certain amount of backpressure to keep my valvetrain from going outta wack.

No, you will be fine. These engines don't really lose power with straight flowing exhausts. Just an idea though, I would look at something other than a glass pack. It will sound super raspy and pop a lot; not to mention loud as all hell. IMO I would keep the magnaflow as its sound is smooth yet has plenty of bite under throttle. I'm biased towards magnaflow though. If you are set on the dumpled bullet muffler though, check out the chambered stick mufflers or magnaflow bullets, borla xr1, there are more that I can't thing of at this moment.

Thanks, I just didnt want my engine to go to ****. I may stay with the magnaflow, im not as impressed with the sound as I thought I would be considering its a straight through muffler but im sure that will all change once the headers are on and the cats are off. Im just waiting till I get enough money to buy an SLP loudmouth system. I would definitely get a Corsa exhaust if I was a millionaire.
