Crap Ducati just released the new 1199 Panigale and that got me thinking of getting back on a Ducati (1098/1198) Last time I got this Bug I sold my Trans Am and bought the GSXR 750 I have now, Im starting to look at my Camaro that way now! Tell you the truth im tired of jackin with old cars lol, guess im gettin old? Guess its kinda good Im kinda buried in the GSXR but I have been racking my brain tryin to figure a way out...and selling the Camaro is one

Fuck that I would kill for a 60's or early 70's Camaro especially with the swap already done...lets trade! lol :hail:
No way in hell would I get rid of that beautiful car especially for a motorcycle no matter how bad ass it is.

Ducati's are sweet bikes I agree and after being on my R6 I am either getting a used Ducati 1098 or a new R1 as my next bike...Years down the road though. :(

It's like I wanna keep the car but I'm kinda burnt out, but I'd hate to start over again

you're not really burnt out, you are infatuated with the new ducati. Don't make an irrational decision.

there's been plenty of times where i am very close to selling my jeep or anything in favor of something else that i have a sudden love for, but i never follow through and 9 out of 10 times i am over it within a month and glad i didn't sell my rig.

I may forgo my ZR1 desires and just end up with this Duc, amazing bike!

Think Im just gonna have to super focus on paying the bike I have off now and trade it in a year on a 08 or newer 1098s or 1198 model, 1199 is out of my price range and dammit im not gonna buy new this time lol or use those stinkin credit card offers they always run...just normal loan with a normal bike payment. Unless someone offers me $20k for the car im just gonna keep it.

i bought a K7 gsxr 600 brand new using that stupid credit card promo... the one where it's like $90/month for the first two years or whatever. Horrible idea. Those bikes lose value way too fast.

Mine was $169 a month min payment.....hell that didnt even cover the interest :jest:....hard lesson learned, but at the time I wouldnt been able to afford full coverage since I had no garage and my age at the time....now its like $62 a month if I get a Liter bike.

yeah i was stoked because i was 20 years old and could actually afford the minimum payments. 2 years later the payments sky rocketed and i didn't make a dent in the loan. I actually just sold it about 9 months ago and never looked back.

I was lookin at the 848 but Its got about the same power as my 750 I have now, been driving 750's since 99. 1st bike was a 750 Ducati Monster, then I had a 01 GSXR 750 and now this one. Time for a change:devil:

Well I stopped by the Ducati dealership (eurosport) and well I shouldnt have done that....now the bug is real bad.....dreaming about the shit now lol, anyways it looks like I am leaning towards the 848 evo, couple tenth of a seconds quicker then what I have now, higher mph in the quarter so it would be an upgrade from what I have now without having to worry about lifting the front end with a 3rd gear roll:jest: Plus the price. Hell I got a year to mire on this.
Sat on the new 1199 Penigale S Tricolore and it has an engine shock that rubs ur leg when ur at a stop...weird.

annoying way, everytime u place ur foot down at a stop ur gonna have this shock rubbing ur inner thigh, just a weird design decision.

Also went and looked what the Japanese had to offer and was kinda let down, the ZX-10R looked nice online, but in person it look like the windshield on it was an afterthought...its just bolted atop the front fairing!! Yamaha R1 I can't stand the headlight design, those projectile lights look like an afterthought too...love the sound of it. I dont buy Honda's, upset me they stopped making the RVT RC51. Suzuki are nice but well they still kinda look like mine except more rounded headlight and even worse looking tailpipe. Looked at the big boys too, Hayabusa & Zx14 but I dont feel im big enough and they dont look to be fun in the twisties.

back when i was a biker boy one guy in our group had a 675. I always loved that bike, came with stainless brake lines, projectors, gas gauge (sounds gay but i hate just having a light), and some other shit i can't remember. I believe it had a timing BELT too so it sounded like a little super charger was on it. Very cool bike.

I don't think we ever went toe to toe (k7 600 for me) but i think it was right on par with a regular 600, with a bit more torque.

I like the Honda 600 design, but the new 1k the headlight doesnt flow back as smooth as the 600's design. I guess in reality im leaning towards a VTwin/LTwin. I liked the RC51 Honda's, the TLR1000 was sweet. But I really want a newer bike.

no idea why they did the headlights like they did, but at least it's got the power to back it up, and nobody will mistake it for any other bike. I do think they look much better in person than that pic though.

From what I read it was because they wanted to be different, the left and right fairings dont match either but that really didnt bother me, its was that one eye winking look.....Awesome bikes, awesome power, they should have done maybe horizontal led strips but that design they have kills it for me

My next bike will either be an 09+ R1 or 1098/1198. Love ducatis, i'd wait till they come down some most likely. To be honest i have my RC exactly how i want it and i can't say i have had any newer bike which is sure to outperform the RC in every way out run me in the twisties. It always comes down to the rider. I'm also 145lbs suited so it has plenty of grunt for me. Don't get me wrong though bike is getting older and there are times i'd like something newer(mainly because of the weight). Really like the new R1s though i am partial to twins...

Alright I have kinda settled on two....a used Aprilla RSV4 or a 1098/1198, one of those is what im gonna focus on getting. The 848 & 675r are out due to the fact I would be basiclly getting what I have now with new skins and no slipper clutch. I have watched tons of review vids and this is what I have narrowed it down too.

Read someone else say the same thing on another forum (gixxer maybe?) and didn't even realize that was you. That's crazy to pay that much for a zx10r, and good thing you checked insurance. I learned to check my insurance before buying when I bought my gsxr, but I jumped the gun anyway and my insurance ended up being three times more expensive than previous bike, and being young doesn't help either. But congrats on the bike, post pics when you get it.

Summertime everyone has the bike bug!!! ..

Worst time to buy a bike is in the middle of summer, best time to buy a bike is in the dead of winter..

Could save you big bucks on a good bike purchase by buying in Winter during a massive long storm system.. No one is buying bikes at that time except you and you can low ball all day long....
