Default 653/705 stock bottom end

had a little free time today, so i went to the dyno to do a little tuning. i actually jetted the system DOWN: read: LESS nitrous than before.

after some careful tuning, made 653/705. STOCK bottom end. less n2o than before. remember, this is of dated ls1 heads, and a little cam. i think i have this system figured out, and i know that there is room to grow.

took the car out on the street, and let me say that it is insane. 705 torque is out of control on the street, and it just blew the qtps right off through 3rd (they were set at 22 psi and unheated).

i have another idea to get probably more horses out of this thing with the same jet pattern in the car now. let me say that i could fire the car up right now and drive it wherever i wanted, although this tune up is a little radical for the street...but i really couldn't care less. not saying it will last forever like this, but i made a bunch of passes tonight alone on the street and the plugs looked great.

running 1/8 mile street series next week up here if i have free time. will take some power out of the car before i go.

need to thank Ken from east side. he really helped me out getting things straight over the phone. if you need a noszle system, these guys are the guys to call. they have given me excellent advice and know their stuff.

Is this something East Side will be selling as a kit for the rest of us?

east side sells the noszle system itself. they can do whatever you want really, give them a call. they are a sponsor----->

I setup my own system though, and built my own fuel system. Ken and Guy have offered plenty of help, esp today over the phone while I was dialing it in on the dyno here in Indiana. I discussed a million things about my setup with Ken today, and I think we found the sweet spot.

any pictures of your set up?

how hard was the fuel system? I am just thinking it would be easier to tune and pretty much everything if I went with a fuel cell instead of another 340 intank or a big external

thanks

ok all kinds of question...

how do you turn on your pump for the fuel cell, is there a way to wire it to one switch like a WOT switch?

How long did it take you to install the fuel system and about how much was it?

I cant really tell where your nitrous is going in the manifold? I am blind lol

I have the pump relay tripped by the arming switch I have in the car. So one switch turns on both the pump and arms the system.

It took a long while to build my system. The hardest part was finding a place to mount the cell and make it look clean. I had to relocate the fuse blocks and make brackets to fit them up nice.

The nitrous runs into the manifold via the noszles mounted under the injectors.

Let me tell you, this system hits HARD. It was a blast on the street....I can't wait to run it at the track!

That NOSzle system is badass. ChicagoZ06 up by me puts out ~610rw with his H/C/NOSZLEd Z06. He's run more than a couple times, too, as far as I know without woes. I'd love to strap a NOSzle on top of Heads/Cam (as this is where current funds are headed) in the future. It's insane the numbers some of these LS1/6's are putting out with these kinds of setups.

damn those are awesome numbers man, I was also going to do a direct port and a stand alone fuel system. Sounds like a kick *** setup you have there.

You just gotta rub it in, don't ya? ordering damn near $2,000 in parts for it today. Damn COFBA, seeing you guys having cars faster than me is what made me take it apart in the first place.

Very colse to my setup. I mounted my cell down farther so its hidden. What pump did you run. I ran the Aeromotive 150 GPH pump with the Mallory return regulator. Have to give props to Ken at Eastside my 175 Nossle hit twice as hard as the old MAF 150 shot. Plus the Nossle pulls and pulls up top almost feels like turbo except with a huge kick in the *** when it comes on.

What shot are you jetted for??

Hows your timing look??

Didn't get to dial mine in before taking a ring land off of #1 piston. But now we have some very nice internal pieces and heads going on the car.

My A/F was 10-1 rich with about 16 degrees timing.

This by far the best Ls1 nitrous setup out. Little pricey but it WORKS.
