Im sure someone has already asked these questions but I could't find it sorry! My plan is to run a stock bottom end 6.0 with L92 heads. I had the heads redone with springs good for .700 lift. Also I am going to carberate this set up. L92 Vic Jr intake and a pretty healthy cam. I bought an LQ9 with 70k miles on it and plan to swap it into my 2001 SS camaro. Since the engine will not have a distributer I need to get an ignition box and keep the coil packs?? Also does anyone have any guesses as to how much horsepower to expect? if anyone knows where any write ups are reguarding this comination I would really appreciate being steered in the right direction. Also have 1 7/8 Longtubes the car is a 6spd and I plan to spray it with a 150 shot. My goal is to try and spray my way into the 5's in the 1/8 th mile. This site has always been really helpful in the past so thanks guys/gals for all the help.

The MSD box will work. Create your own timing curve, guys have had problems with the pills that it comes with. Or buy a cover from GM with a dizzy set up.
I can't quote power figures off the top of my head. Guessing high 400's to mid 500's depending on cam and induction set up.
It will be down on torque below 3-4K. Try to use a plate type T-body with out an elbow. The cowl will have to be cut. Do a search there have been many threads on this subject. Should be a fun build.

be careful with cam selection with ls3 heads, ptv clearance is tight.
on avg ls2/ls3 make anywhere from 400-500rwhp

even with a 200 shot I doubt you can make it into the 5s in 1/8. thats gonna have to be a wicked quick run the first 330 feet to get there. prolly take a 1.38ish 60' for most cars 6.40ish is about 10.00 in the quarter. your talking about your car running DEEP into the nines to equal a 5.9x in the 1/8. I run the l92 heads on my ls2 myself.
