Well as some of you know I traded the WS6 in, and got a Kia Soul!

All BS aside, the thing is a perfect DD. Good gas mileage and can still haul parts around!

Thanks for the comments guys (good and bad). I put alot of thought into it, and this was a car I could see myself using for work, trips, and if I needed to haul something around (obviously can't be too big). It's quiet, smooth, and has more features than the TA had. I don't hate driving to work quite as much as I used to

I never thought I'd buy a soul, but it wasn't bought to impress people. It was bought to be something practical to put some miles on and had warranty if anything were to happen.

Honestly I think those Souls are pretty neat little vehicles. Like you said, its practical. When you want something to impress you got the z06. I wish I didnt have my truck and had something small to drive back and forth. $85 fillups get old fast and 16 mpg in town sucks. When you told me about getting a kia at first I almost laughed, lol, but it makes sense, even more since you probably got a really good deal on it. Congrats.

Wow for a shoebox with wheels? There's lots of nice cars out there man......

I'm fully aware of what's out there. This car has a $24k sticker. I got it for $20,440. I could trade it in tomorrow for $20k. How many new cars can you buy, drive off the lot, and then trade in for $400 less than what you paid for it? I know you know nothing about the souls, but they hold their value ridiculously well. As mentioned, its a car that gets bad ass gas mileage, and can still haul stuff around. Either way, I would take it over a $5-7k Firehawk anyday of the week. Fbodys aren't king.

LOL don't matter how you look at it man it's still a shoebox you paid $20k for. I'm glad you can read what's in my sig...it just adds to your genius factor  But it's what is not in my sig that is the interesting part. I just don't advertise everytime I have a thought like you do, selling cars and wheels and never being able to make a decision. That's why people on this board don't like you and give you shit all the time about buying and selling things for no apparent reason other than to be doing it...or bc you want to by a mommy car. Just saying.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to switch cars when I want, many do not. And I'm sure many people on here that actually know me, can vouch for me.

I appreciate your concern, but a $600 payment is more than manageable for me. Which is why I signed at 36, I could have signed at 72. But unlike some people, I like paying shit off.

I know you must think Im in debt, but having my student loans/credit cards paid off 1 yr after graduating college is enough for me. I don't mind having a car payment, Especially when it's more than manageable.

Financing/having good credit pays off in the future.

Donohue96M6Z28

I mean if you have some other toy in the garage you're not sharing then by all means let us know but you're talking shit like you got this badass MPG getter Kia and that you can daily your vette too but yet you're selling the vette leaving only the ugly ass kia. The vette is badass but didn't you just get it and you're already selling? I just don't get it man.

And thats ok that you don't understand, and I'm not talking shit. You came in my thread talking shit. I do have another
Car but its not really a toy, lmao. I also have a fully loaded 09 optima. But, if the vette doesnt sell, I'll keep it. If it does, I'm getting a G8 or a CTSV. I want something larger.

I really wouldn't call it bragging, but of course I'm going to respond when someone with a $5k car decides to talk shit. Did you see me respond to Texfinn with a shitty response? Why don't you quit whining?

It's this guy's fucking money. Not yours.

Who gives 2 shits about paying for a car up front with cash when there is 0-2.9% financing available and you know you're going to keep the vehicle for as long or longer than the loan term?

I'd much rather have my cash available to invest, sit in a savings account, buy other shit, etc.

What make you think someone cares how you prefer to spend your money? Lol dumbass. And who cares about paying up front with cash??? UM....someone who does not want to lose money paying to borrow money moron. How old are you 12? You guys belong together.

Do you know how much interest is accrued at 1.9%? You obviously know nothing about investing, 401ks, IRAs etc etc. You can make much more $, then 1.9%. Shit, I even got an extra $500 rebate for financing through Kia. And if I take the total 36 months to finance, I will have spent less than $700 in total interest. $700 - the $500 rebate I received for financing = less than $200 paid towards interest with financing $21.5k. Which comes out to a net ~$5.50 paid in interest a month considering the rebate I received. Wow, that sure is rough!

Donohue96M6Z28
05-18-2012, 03:43 PM
LOL you keep making me laugh. I don't really care how you responded to some other dude. And if you're GF is making fun of you for buying a Kia then you have to know you made a mistake.

So if I have a car that isn't worth a whole lot of money then I'm less of a person???

Just because you're car costs more than mine did does not make you're car less gay...and how is a soul a legit car? Haha.

If you don't have a nice car, why would you talk shit about someone's car that is worth more. I've owned many LT1 cars, and I would cry if I still owned one of those money pits.

And again, I also own a z06. Would it make you feel better if my only car was a z06? Or if I daily drove the z06?

And where did I say the soul was legit? I said texfinns cars were legit.

But is nice hopping in a car and not having to worry about any issues. This car is a daily driver, was not bought to be a head turner.

I'm a home owner. Why on God's green earth would I choose to take out a very low interest car loan while putting the $20k-$30k (avg price for average vehicle) towards the principal of my home loan (saving 10's of thousands of dollars in the process) when I could pay cash for a car and brag about it like a fucking idiot on ls1tech? I must be fucking retarded. Thanks for the lesson.

Only reason mine has ever been a money pit is because I love to mod it. It's never really been a headache either. The "shitty LT1" has been about 99% reliable over the 7 years I DDed it. 1 of those years was with a 150 shot routinely sprayed, and 5 of those years with a comp 306 cam in it. But by no means am I pissed off that you hated on LT1s. I've gotten used to it since people have hated on them since before I owned one.
