Gears & Axles - gmc yukon axles ?

Ok I heard somewhere that 97,98, style gmc Yukon axles will fit in 2000 camaro rearend and that there are stronger than stock, possibly thicker? Is this true?

No, not true. For one if its 4wd then it will have 6 bolt axles, if its 2wd then the bolt pattern is 5x5 not 5x4.75 like out cars are. As far as width I doubt they would work, and I'm sure the bearings are different. Our cars have a 7.5 and those trucks have a 8.5 rear axle
