I have a '91 Camaro Z28 and currently I have a set of Y2K's on it. While they do look decent, they still leave me wanting something different. Ideally I'd like to run an 18" wheel 10 or 11" wide front and rear. I really don't want to use corvette wheels again. I don't like staggered diameters, I don't want to run huge spacers, and I really want something that has a deep dish.

I want to use a wheel with a 5 spoke design (split or solid). The problem is that all the wheels I end up liking are out of my budget. I'd like to try and keep the cost of the wheels below $2000. I was hoping to get a new set of wheels and tires before this autocross season is over. If all else fails I'll just keep saving for next year.

And the only cheap wheel that I've found and liked is the Rota P45r2 also known as the GTR-D. But of course they don't sell them in the US.

Id suggest looking on Craigslist for BMW wheels - lots of those guys run staggered widths but identical offsets which is good for you since the 3rd gens have a narrower rear compared to the 4ths.

It depends on budget but if your looking for cheap the c5dd would look great on that car, the rears are 10.5 , it depends on budget though, if there is no budget ccw sp500s

For 2 grand you will be able to afford some 2 piece wheels. However you will be limited to a 10 inch wide wheel unless you pay about $500 more to get them widened. The other option is to get a budget 3 piece wheel like a CCW then wide width's don't affect the price as much.

Like what has been said a c5dd is your best option for a nice looking budget wheel, there are not to many better looking wheels for the price, you could always do street lites in a 17, i like 18s but hate 18 inch tire prices

I wouldn't be able to do 17's at my ride height and as wide as I want the front wheels to be. There is interference with the steering arm on the spindle and the strut housing when you run wide 17's. Those areas aren't an issue with 18" wheels. And everybody and there mother has some kind of corvette wheel on an F-body. I want something that nobody has used before. Something like some Volks, Works, SSR's, etc.

Most of those wheels are designed for bmws so they don't usually get past 9" wide. There are some exceptions. But a lot of the options are expensive

Sorry for the newb question, but how much shorter is the 3rd gen rear than a 4th? I ask b/c im looking for the same thing as the op, some 18x11 or 10's. But my rear is 1.25 shortened. Thinking its close to a 3rd gen.

Just looking for the same thing, and not vette wheels.

DPL TKE - i know you say volks, etc, which are nice also, but ive found forgestar wheels will make any offset, size you want at a reasonable price.

A third gen rear is approximately between 1.5" and 2" narrower than a 4th gen rear.

Not yet. I found a good deal on a set of C4 ZR1 wheels so I think I'm going to get those for the time being. I'll paint the centers black or gunmetal and polish the lip. Though I'm pretty set on saving up and getting a some Work Meister S1's next year.

No idea on the backspacing for a 3rd gen. Are these feasible?

Centerline will make you an 11" wide wheel, but they don't list it on there website. They have alot of different styles to choose from. 17x11 Telstars were $450 each.
