Carbureted LSX forum - does msd 6012 come with this bracket?

in this picture on summit racing, they have a package of what looks likethe 6010 mounted on the manifold with some kind of bracket. the wiring harness also looks shorter which i think is the "extension harness" that makes everything shorter and cleaner. they dont have the package deal with the 6012. where can i get this bracket to mount it to the manifold?

also, to make the wires shorter and cleaner, does anyone sell the 6012 kit with the extension harness instead of the original harness that would be way too long for me?

The intake comes with the brackets. I have a set from mine if you want them. I mounted the box inside the car. I dont dig the idea of mounting it in the motor at all lol

That is the edelbrock version of the msd. It comes with that bracket and the harness is made into the box its not removable

Yep, that is the junky controller, non programmable, no two step, timing retard, ect.

Otherwise, of everything I have ever ordered, never got that bracket as it is exclusive to the edelbrock I'm sure.

I would mount that box inside the vehicle also. Just to keep it away from so much heat and vibrations.

Have not ha any of mine crap out yet from being under the hood, or on the motor.

Definitely prefer to mount them inside the car somewhere, as the harness is more than long enough. Then the data cable that plugs into your computer can be routed into the glove box, center console, etc to make plugging it in easier as well.
