General LSX Automobile Discussion - lq4 year

is there a date stamp on the lq4 block???? I read that the 03 and 04 take different head bolts .Is that true????? thanxxxx

i believe its 04 and newer take all the same size bolts and the 04 and earlier have 2 bolts that are shorter than the rest

Yes, those two years take different bolts. On the back of the block theirs a 7 digit # get that and call the dealer they can tell you what it is

Thanx every 1 I found a post on here that told me there is a date stamp on the right side in front of the head mine is c315 meaning c=march 31=31st day 5=year
