99sonoma

Hey guys I'm really new to this an I was just curious as to want ill need to build my Sonoma . Its a 1999 4.3 5 speed an I want to put a 5.3 in it but dont know which way I should go as far as transmission . Would it be easier an cheaper to keep it 5 speed or automatic it . If 5 speed what would you recommend for a tranny . An also for auto. The motor is gonna be bone stock just want it to be a weekend warrior. thanks for any help.
