am looking to buy hood for my SS.i checked out alot of brand names.but i read some not being properly shaped and don't fit right etc..so what company has best SS hood.i was thinking about the duraflex.what you guys think?

Its a hood, most will line up w/ a little tinkering, if your so concerned go OEM. That's obviously the "best"

This pretty much sums it up.
OEM will fit best, everything else is going take a little work at best.

of course OEM would be "best" if i had $$$ for it.but i meant after market hoods.

Oem your best bet period, or go with a sunoco from vfn

Trufiber is supposed to be pretty good quality. VFN products are very high quality also.
Glasstek and Trufiber are good quality if your wanting a SS replica. The VFN ss hood in 3 inches high.

i think i'm gonna go with the Trufiber or duraflex.isn't there sponser here that sells them.i heard that we get discount for being member here.or something like that.

I was steered away from the duraflex by a sponsor.
I know the LT1 SS Trufiber is darn near perfect. Id go with that one.

Heard duraflex was crap, but have no experience with them.

picked up OEM hood for $300 local.lil cracked on the corner but its easy fix.but thanks for your input everybody!
