Thumbs up 4.10s installed

just though id give an early review. i was told to be easy on them until theyre broke in. at first i didnt notice much. i had 3.73s which were completely destroyed. my tuner recommended 4.10s with my built and stalled auto.

my car is completely silent unlike before when i had constant whining and occasional vibration under minimal acceleration.

it revs up quicker with minimal effort and it doesnt rev that high even in OD at highway speeds.

the car even has less cam surge i guess you call it. overall everything just feels more solid i guess is the best way to describe it.

my reinforcement cover i had on for yrs always leaked so a stock one was put on. pisses me off but it didnt seem to help last time anyway.

i also had an adjustable torque arm and panhard bar added.

so a4 guys dont be worried about putting 4.10s in your car itll be fine. yes, itll suck up gas but its worth it.

had 4.10s in my 10bolt w/sup cover, it gave up after 175 runs!!! and that was with a vig4500 hanging the left front wheel. I've talked to you before at Etown, I have the hugger orange Z w/SS hood, upgraded to a moser12 w/373s... should have stayed w/4.10s! Good Luck! I'll see ya somewhere, might go to Etown on the May 12th for the EFI meet!!

I love rowing through the gears with the 4.10's in the back. Keeps me in that peak rpm range at all times

Gears don't whine based on brand. If ANY gear set whines, it is because it was set up improperly.

That is 100% false information. Even the guys at Jawz Gear will tell you that. Proper install is very important no doubt, but it's not the deciding factor weather the gears will whine or not. Even if they are installed to a "T".
