PCM Diagnostics & Tuning - Lc-1 wideband

Aloha gang,
I just installed my mayhem cam, I have to rely on mail order tunes. Just learning about the tuning side of things. Someone is trying to sell me a LC-1 for cheap. Not sure of its capabilities, should I, do I need it?

Air/Fuel gauges are a good tool for tuning, they basically tell you how well your car is running at idle, cruise and then wie open. I have an LC-1 and it has data logging capabilities I believe. Kind of a pain to hook up, but if you can get it for cheap I would say to go for it.
