im looking to do a system that hits hard i have a type R 12 in a lil ported box that hits good but i want to do something that looks clean and hits hard, i was thinking about doing a subthump t-top box but im not sure what subs or if the subthump box would be worth it, any input would be greatly appreciated:)

whats your budget? Are you wanting sealed or ported or? Pre fabbed or custom? How much space are you wanting to give up? Fwiw ive had 2 subthump ttop boxes, one dual L5's on 1500w and I thought it sounded great until it got destroyed by a hurricane. The other was dual type r's and 2 pdx 1.600's and I did not like the alpines sealed at all.

Sub thump box looks good and can hit very hard (that I've heard) considering how well our cars respond to bass. Probably wouldn't go with Type Rs in the box depending on how well you like bass, as I hear they are better for ported boxes (I have mine in a sealed and like it, so nothing against them).

check out something like the w3v3 in the high output box. http://www.jlaudio.com/ho112rg-w3v3-car-audio-h-o-wedge-subwoofer-systems-93136
i dont recommend buying from jl since you can find it much cheaper. i have the 10" right now on a 500/1 and it sounds like 2 12's
