Whoa. Why did those studs break like that? Was it overtightened? Hopefully nothing was damage under the car.

believe it or not there wasnt really any damage to the car....couple little dings in my true dual set up but thats all.
I ended up making 2 passes then after i got the new wheel studs in, however i didnt feel comfortable after all that so i pussy footed it down the track to a 13.93@110mph.

oh yeah....wheels were torqued to 100ft lbs.
from what i am seeing online....it looks like this has happened to more then a few people.
time to upgrade to some ARP's and maybe even 5/8s studs
also have some SPOHN lower control arm relocation brackets that need welded on.

I've seen 5/8's break due to same reason... not a cure-all, but helps.
I went with the 1/2" option on my Moser's.

I was wondering how long it would take for you to post this. I'll have to put the specs in the YouTube description, since your build thread was typed by a two finger typer. I actually found a decent bit of other vids with people shear one side but none doing both sides...

I guess if it was going to happen anywhere that wouldve been the best place, rather than halfway down the track. nice comeback and nice car

Looks like the right quarter was moving a lot but it didn't damage it? That's pretty crazy. Yikes, if it hops i always get out of it. No good times or runs will come from it. Glad you got it back up and running later in the day.

thanks for all the compliments.
As crazy as it looks in the video i honestly couldn't feel the car hopping. This was the first time i had ran that setup at the track. On the street the car dead hooked like crazy with little to no wheel spin. I also realized that i shouldn't have used my stock acorn lug nuts with those moser axles. I heard that they are not hubcentric axles like the stockers so they require the use of shanked lug nuts. Can anyone shine some light on this subject??

Do you race at Beaver often? I live in the middle of Beaver and Numidia dragway and race at both, I may head down this Friday, weather permitting. Just curious, who tuned the car?

Car looks nice man.......there are 2 other similar ones that i see occasionally around my town.
i go down to beaver frequently.....but this was the first time in probably 4 years that i have ran my car there.
The car was tuned by complete street performance in exton, PA.

Do you know what brakes and rear wheels the guy was running that you got the rear end from???
fastassls1maro

stock rear brakes/rotors....and there wasnt any wheels on it when it when i went down to get it. he told me it only had a dyno time on it...not any street/track miles
