Automatic Transmission - rebuild 3-4 clutch packs clearance prob

im currently installing the probuilt prostreet upgrade kit in my 4l60e thew 3-4 clutch packs are stated to be .020-.035 clearance but im at .010 what can i do to get the right measurement??

How thick is your backing plate (above the clutches)?
I prefer to always use the thick OEM apply plate (0.223) below the clutches, but a variety of backing plates are available from GM and aftermarket for the purpose of setting the clearance.
I have 0.129, 0.157 and 0.194; others are probably available too. Another trick is to use a thinner snap ring.

Here are the thicknesses and part numbers from the ATSG Update Manual for the backing plates:

24217450 = 0.144
24217453 = 0.165
24212460 = 0.194 (I think is is stock for 6-plate 4L60E)
24217516 = 0.219
24217517 = 0.241

The 0.129 I have is aftermarket:

ill have to measure it but im going to try to use the stock one now i tried it with the raybestos one that came with the kit

got it! Was using the oem snap ring which was wayyy thicker lol got it right at .020 now
