Comp 222 224
anybody have any experience with this cam on your f-bods? its over at comp cams for the LS1/LS6 motors. someone posted about it in the Truck V8 section, but it didn't get much response.
Comp Cams
if you guys have any opinions about how it would act in a truck, i'd appreciate it. my truck is relatively light, and with some weight removal, i was hoping a small amount of torque loss woudln't affect it to much. plus, i want that lopey sound really bad. bottom end can be made up for, so thats why im lookin for some good mid range, top power. it would be a bolt on and cam setup w/ 3.73 gears if i go with the cam.
is there maybe another cam with specs like this that you guys might recommend instead?
thanks for any help

I think it's a good spray cam. I got the 216/220, waiting for heads to put it in.
If you do not plan to spray, a lot of poeple here will tell you the TR224, 0.581 114 is good.

The 222/224 is not a torque monster, I think the comp 216/220 would work real good in a truck. It will have a nice sound to it. Won't sound stock anyway. You could pick up a stock 98-00 f-body cam real cheap. And try that out. What are your stock spec's in the truck? This is my dyno with the 222/224 cam.
