Default Can the stock LS1 fuel pump be changed without the entire assembly?

I don't wanna spend $300 for an assembly if I can just pull the pump without trouble. I know the Haynes manual says the pump itself isn't serviceable alone and that the entire assembly has to be changed out.

What does the fuel pros say??

Yes you can... Walbro, Racetronix, Deatchwerks & Aeromotoive all make replacements pumps.

Not so fast, only Racetronix supplies a proper kit for 98 or 99-2002 LS1 Camaro's or certain year Corvettes....Walbro/DW/Aeromotive do not have the proper venturi function or mounting components.

If you are running stock, you should just replace with the full OE fuel module assembly, not a high performance fuel pump, check Amazon you can find some good deals versus the brick and mortar retailers

For the 99-02 cars, I carry the Racetronix performance pumps as well as OE replacement pumps with the proper venturi connections. Feel free to call if I can be of help.

OP simply asked if the pump COULD be replaced vs buying a whole unit. The answer is yes.. Other than using a piece of 30r10 fuel hose & wiring the provided pigtail, my Deatchwerks pump was on my factory sending unit in less than an hour. 99-02' just mod the lower part of the bucket as shown in the sticky.

I'd buy the Racetronix setup. It's a very well put together kit for a very reasonable price. I bought mine from TSP.

I bought a OEM Fuel Pump Only for my 02 SS From Lonnies Performance. It worked Great, But it was a little work to get it in the Housing . I would recommend someone who has some experience to put it in.
