Pontiac G8 2008-2010 - 2009.5 G8 GT, Compare Cats vs No Cats

Mods in my signature.
It was a 5-6rwhp and 1-2rwtq increase with out the cats. With out the cats it is much louder, no drone, and you have a gas smell outside the car. Personally when I get out of the car I like not to smell gas, not that the smell is on me - just do not want that smell. So not having the cats for an extra few horsepower with that smell is not worth it to me.

Just noticed the correction factor was "standard" switched it to SAE and was about the same.
With KOOKs connecting catted pipes, then with KOOKs delete pipes. Sorry for the confusion.

Did you tune for !cats? If not, that could be your gas smell. I ran without any emissions on my SS and it didn't smell like gas. You get more exhaust smell, but not fuel.

I love the gas smell. It's worth it for me, w/ the extra 2-5 hp. And even with a tune, you'll still get the "gas smell".

Very good point, it was tuned for the KOOKs cats.
