Default Eaton vs Detroit Locker vs Auburn

Ok a little background info.
2001 Camaro 3.8L V6 (dont bash please) I bought a gov lock and I did some research and found out they are a POS. So Im re-selling it and I have it narrowed down to these 3. I want to know what is the best for what I intend on doing.
I plan on doing some drag racing on the weekends and on nice days I get her out and drive her.
Here are my 3 choices:

Also I plan on keeping the 3.42s I have

I still wouldn't spend money on the car. I haven't spent **** on my truck for a reason. I'm saving everything I have for an LSx car, I say you should do the same. Or make the car look good.

Well it depends on what you are doing with the car. Honestly, if you are planning on buying an LS car in the future, save your money. It's really not worth it man.

Yea but that won't happen for at least 2 years or so. I just want something to help me launch off the line faster and if I want to lay posi down on the road when I want to lol. And something that is going to be reliable.

Honestly any stock V8 posi will work. I'd look on the used market to save you some coin.

I would go with the Eaton out of those three choices. Bob

If you're into saving a few $$, I have a brand new 3 series Torsen posi for sale in the classifieds. Here's the link: https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...ans-parts.html It will work in your rear with the 3.42s and it is the same posi unit that came in the 99-02 Z28s. I'm also not far from you in Marysville, OH. PM me if you're interested.

I can understand wanting a posi. I also can sympathize with some of the other guys when they tell you not to waste your money. If you find a good deal on a carrier in the classifieds (low mileage or new), that's what I would do. Jegs and Summit are ok if you're buying for something like a 12 bolt, 9 inch or S60, but I wouldn't waste my money on a nice, new posi for a weak 10 bolt. There are too many guys out there selling their used ones that would do just fine for your application right now.

It also appears to have the red springs which are 800 lbs I believe. Is that too much for me or will I be ok?
