This car worth it.
Hey guus.found a 99 ss. Car is in great cosmetic.shape. Has full exhaust ls6 intake amd 4.11 gears. When shifting into 5 it grinds bad. Wont stay and pops out if you go real eazsy on it it will go. So I know the trans will need work. Jw if its worth the 5k for the car with 100000 miles

Need a lot more info. $5,000 may sound OK on the surface but what else is needed? Is the title clean? Any Carfax history? Are the 100,000 miles really 'beaten' miles last owned by a 16 year old that couldn't shift?? Hopefully someone better owned it and not 5 previous owners. Everything makes a difference and you don't need a $5,000 car to turn into a $10,000 car. It can happen and you'll regret every minute of ownership. Provide lots of info for somewhat accurate guesstimates from us.

Bought the car. The hood is NOT DIFFERENT COLORED THE LIGHTING OF THE PIC IS WEIRD.
The car runs great. I actually put stock rearend with 3.42s I had back in it and 5th slides alot easier now. No noises. I'm just gonna be easy with it and rive it like it is. I will build the trans and upgrade the clutch over the next couple months though. Add a ms3 cam and be done with it. I am very happy. Ended up giving 4500 for it, and that's only because I picked at the guy about a very small size less than a dime size place on the sail panel where it looks like the clear maybe starting to bubble.

Yeah even if I wanted to I could prolly just put a 5th gear synchro in it. (100 bucks) new master cylinder clean it up tune it and sell it for alot more then I would have in it. Even if I do all that I'll have right at 5k in it which is not bad.
