Florida Members - Any Meets Near Suntree/Viera/Melbourne/Merritt Island?

I would love to attend a Florida gathering. I've been here seven months and know absolutely no one outside of work. What can I say -- I need a few friends, and in Maryland my best ones were my car buddies.

I'm not what most car guys expect -- a little older than most and I just like these cars, a lot! Not looking for anything but some new friendships.

So, where's the next gathering? :secret:

i just got my car back so i need to catch up on the shows and whatnot, kinda been out of it for a while

If you see a black out 4-eyed fox, that is loud that is me, has a LS in it.

The biggest show in the area is the 3rd Thursday of every month the 5 guys at 95 and Palm Bay rd. That is the only one I usually head out to anymore.
There is a show every Wednesday at the hogie shop on Wickem and Sarno.

Not a lot of action that I know of, but I don't go out too
much. There used to be the "ricer meet" on Merritt Island
somewhere (Toys-r-us?). Before they rerouted Nasa Blvd,
on Wednesdays there was a muscle meet at Double's on
the corner of Wickham. The Hooter's on Nasa @ Babcock
had meets for a while. Nothing seems to last, really.

Brevardmotorsports.org is a local enthusiast board, seems
to be mostly import-oriented kids but some domestic
muscle types hang out there for whatever reason.

Other local 'boards seem to come and go.

Wow, the Doubles Wickham meet on Wednesday is done? That had been going on since I started driving.

So, it's a little bit of everywhere and nowhere. Bummer. I am working on moving in the next ten days to Merritt Island (between the Pineda & 520). After that I think I'll try to come up to the one on Palm.

Looks like I just might have to join a bowling league if there's no gatherings, lol!

Hoping to have my SS back to me beginning of June and welcome to the area and I'd have say the 5 guy meet is good we need to get all ls1tech people to meet and head there in force.

Doubles is still good some days are better then others but still a good time and the third Thursday of the month is pretty good at five guys

Doubles was always good, can't beat the food there either!

yeah but parking sucks there, 5 guys has way better parling and more cars show up there.

My car will be back up and running tomorrow after waiting on damn parts for the intake swap. Merritt island use to have some decent turn outs. Whats the five guys meet? I live like 5 min from the island so nothing is really far.

Any of you locals know how to tune a carb cause Id like to take my 69 camaro out but i cant tune a carb lol.

every third thursday of each month theres a big car show at the 5 guys burger place located on palm bay rd. in palm bay starts at like 5pm. its right off of I95.

As long as there's no rain I would say 150-200 cars easy. Every third thursday not every thursday ask me how I know :-/

Yeah I wouldn't mind meeting up sometime as well, I just need to get the rearend swapped out and get the dyno tune setup with Jeremy Fermato and I'll be down for any gatherings ecspecially Bithlo!!!!

Ya I agree I havent been to bithlo with my new car yet and would like too. Headers should be here tomorrow so im hoping to install them on saturday then ill be good to go.

It's off Wickham road, near the Melbourne Airport... for you the easiest and nicest drive is come down Rt 3 to the Pineda; go west to Wickham road; then just drive south for about 10miles to the Nasa Rd intersection... it's on the left (east side).

I'll be the '68 Camaro vert w/ the LS2, Lemans Blue w white stripes.

OMG! I have had such a great time with your girl, it's unbelievable. We can turn the worst of days into so much fun. You really need to come with us -- no matter what we do -- beach, kayaking, window shopping, WalMart people watching (I think we were the ones being watched, lol-- I mean two women with kayaks and alcohol, it just looked like a disaster waiting to happen -- you just can't turn away)-- the fear of alligators is even funny now that it isn't less than six feet away from us. :)

Now -- when are you going to get better and come hang with us?
