sounds about the same as my setup. But kooks with HFC...

i LOVE my topend now. Went from kinda dropping off to pulling all the way to redline like no other. 400hp is a good thing. Kinda sad you have to cam/CAI/Headers/Catback tune to get to the factory rating to the wheels.

How is it sad thing that you have mod the car to get whp that is the same as the facatory bhp...?...sounds like a very normal thing to me.

Not that you have to... Just the extent of modding required to get there.

Understand I came from subaru, where a tune/Downpipe will normally net the same. But thats the good thing about boosted factory cars. Just turn up the boost and dump more fuel.

I think next it either boost or spray for the V...

Comparing any stock F/I engine mod cost to a stock N/A mod cost is comepletely pointless...if you would have just strapped a Maggie on the engine and tuned it (leaving everything else stock), then your whp would be greater then the factory bhp.

Kinda wish I had gone that route... the wheels/headers/cam with installs and wha tnot could have been a used maggie... I fucked up.

^. Take it to the track and you might like it again. For a Cadillac. It does handle pretty well

no prob on the hijack!
hopefully it will put down close to 400 this time around it made 344 on one dyno and 366 on another with just the cam, now i added the long tubes, k an n , 160 degree thermostat and wires, i am thinking at least 380 now lol

i was 383whp on a dynojet with CAI/Headers/Catback. Cam and tune took me to 400. Well 398.12.

Sounds good! Get a better vid though if u can. With some rev's and maybe a drive by.

And does ur corsa have resonators or x-pipe?

Btw biggie and cole... Both of u can feel better about your mistakes because I bought the V1 twice. Lol

My car made 429rwhp with the cam, cai, full exhaust and a tune. Pulled timing for the nitrous so it makes 413 now on motor and 550/553 on the gas

Glad someone else can laugh at and learn from my mistakes! Lol should have at least went with a C5 Z06 or another 03/04 cobra after the first V. Much easier to go fast with less issues. Lol

Oh well... I'll sell this turd soon and get a V2 or a C6 Z06 :)

I like being different. And the V1 is. Might not be the fastest. But for a big 4 door sedan. It is no SLOUCH

I agree with that... Hence why I bought another one. This car is much more impressive being a Cadillac with a big cam and being rather quick for what it is. Don't get me wrong, the cobra and the c5 z06 would have been fun and much easier to go fast but the caddy still has the luxury and comfort and the full 4 doors.

yeah the cts-v has got to be the best bang for the buck when it comes to 4 doors with a v8 and a 6speed to boot, i am a die hard ford guy but they dont have anything close to a cts-v

Same reason i got my Legacy GT. I prefered EVOs. But Mistu hasnt put the EVO drivetrain into a bigger sedan in a LONG LONG time(galant VR4).

Lol! My cam is borderline big for the V to be honest. Makes good peak power though and the powerband on it is pretty good considering its size (2100-6800). Being on a 113LSA, its good with the nitrous and I was told tuning it is a lot easier than a cam on a 110-112 LSA. I wouldn't go any bigger than this on a daily. A slightly smaller cam would really be ideal. A powerband that pulls from 1500-1700rpms would be beneficial to get this pig going. But... my cam pulls a little longer up top so its all give and take and where you want the power to be. With the 4.10 in the rear... this VRX5 is pretty much perfect for the car. Ill find my dynographs and post them. The powerband is completely linear like it should be and doesn't lack or fall off at any point. Pulls hard all the way to the top. :)

I went with a similar size cam maybe a little bigger and I love it for daily use... 234/242. with a 114lsa (g5x3). Couldn't be more happy and I'm still on stock gears... and I love the v1 its easier to get prey when people think your full of it about the first version of the v... (its only 400hp stocknot 551 like the new one) lol
