Default to stroke or not to stroke, that is the question

I have a 6.0 block and am building a turbo motor, my question is should get a 4 inch stroke, or stay stock stroke ? im not sure if a stock stroke will spool faster or not

I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure you pick the turbo according to your CI and the CFM the engine needs. It also depends on your goals with the motor. All out race of streetable daily? Other, more knowledgeable members should chime in shortly.

Do you already have a turbo? What are your goals?

If your goals are under 1000rwhp you have no need to stroke that motor. Stock LS cranks have been low 8's and made 1000rwhp+ without failure.

Bore it out to make 370ci and get a non Chinese GTS76 and be done with it. It'll spool quickly and make great power. Smaller displacement will have lower backpressure with a medium sized turbo. The more cubes you run.... the bigger turbo you need so it can breathe... plus it'll spool slower.

Get the main caps doweled/pinned if you want extra insurance. Prevents them from walking around under high boost. Or get some quality aftermarket thick deck cylinder heads (TFS225's or AFR230's). An LS6 intake with ported stock TB will support 1000rwhp+.
